The mornings may be chilly, but the sun has been shining, and the weather has been absolutely beautiful here at the horse park! Today was the perfect day for Hitch to conquer the swinging bridge. It’s been so much fun having a couple babies to work with!

We’re so excited to kick off 2025 with our first play day this Saturday, January 18th! Please note that there have been small price and hour changes this year, so be sure to check our updated details below before heading out.

🌡️ Cold Weather Alert: It’s going to be chilly in the morning, so bundle up! We’ll be monitoring the safety of the course to ensure everyone stays safe, but rest assured—we’ll be open and ready to welcome you.

Introducing the newest member of our herd! Time to be MVP or known around the barn as Ruby. She is a spitfire that puts a smile on our face constantly. She lives life to its fullest and is always ready for the next exciting thing to happen.

Being broodmare sound she will live out the rest of her days with us sprinting around the pasture, going through the trail course, and be the foundation of our breeding program.

In addition to her impressive athleticism and strong work ethic Ruby has a stand out pedigree. Sired by Metallics MVP, an NCHA Open World Champion, over $345k LTE and producing some wicked offspring. Out of a NRCHA money earning daughter by One Time Pepto.

We hope to have some cute baby pictures on the horizon 🤞

We are so grateful for our incredible community who make Craterview Horse Park such a special place. Whether you've joined us for a play day, spent the weekend camping with us, or just stopped by to say hello, you’ve been a part of what makes this park feel like home and we are so thankful!

This Thanksgiving, we’re counting our blessing— and that includes great horses and the 17 family members that made the drive to spend today with us at CHP (and help with some projects while they’re here 😊)! Before we all started helping in the kitchen the two young horses had to have some time on the course!

We hope you're all having a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, family, and, of course, plenty of time with your horses! We have been getting a lot of projects done at the horse park these past few weeks under the very important supervision of all the animals that call CHP home. While there aren’t any events on the calendar for November and December we want to remind everyone that we are still open for haul-ins and overnight stays! Just reach out to schedule a date.
