⭐️ Good morning everyone and Happy Hump Day ⭐️

🐶 As we all know, this weekend, there will be a lot of fireworks. Many of our pups hate sudden loud sounds that firework makes and it can make them very uneasy and in some instances, even pain.

🐶 So we put together a list that we tend to use, and I’m sure many of you all already do these things.

🐶 If you have used these steps before or have a different ritual with your pup, please feel free to share with us below.

🐶🐶🐶 Here are the tips 🐶🐶🐶

➡️ Walk your pup earlier in the day, to beat the heat (omg the 🥵), as well to avoid being outside when the fireworks events have started.

➡️ Try to have sounds muffled around the house. Keep windows and doors shot. If you live in the city, I’ll add one step further to stuff spaces to really decrease the sounds of fireworks coming through.

🐶 Have a distraction tactic ready for your pup. These may include; the television (if they enjoy that, and it helps to keep them calm); could also be nice calming music. Another distraction method is tasks/brain work for your pups; our favorite are the “snuffle mats”.

Try these and/or tell us what you think. We have everyone had a great weekend and holiday.

🐩 This is a thing that has been true and will always be true.

🐩 Many Black people were able to get “relief” from the verdict yesterday ... then today we woke up to more terrible news of Black people and specifically, a Black child being murdered. This is amongst many other murders we have heard about and haven’t since the last one (which on right).

🐩 I say all that to say, please to all the Black people out there, especially Black people in America, please as much as you can, take the time to unplug/disconnect to protect your peace...
