I saw a post on Facebook the other day where a concerned daughter was asking if her parents that are in their 70’s could handle bringing a puppy into their home.
To do it correctly, HAVING A PUPPY IS HARD!
But it is harder if you don’t!
If you are in your 70’s and you think you can handle having an infant, by all means get a puppy. But if you don’t think you could handle an infant, don’t get a puppy because it’s really hard.
There are thousands of 2-3 year old dogs begging to be adopted that are likely already potty trained and would be wonderful companions for a long time. Just like a puppy, training will be necessary but your life will be manageable.

If you put in the work, both you and your dog benefit.
Look how happy Uni is because of the freedom she has.
And she earned that freedom because of excellent behavior and excellent obedience.
It does take work and effort but having an off-leash trained dog makes your life easier and your relationship with your pup flourish.

If you want to avoid the chaos and have an exact plan from the moment your puppy comes home DM me.
Our pups are so ready to learn as soon as they come home just like Stevie. Check out Loreen and Stevie working on “down” “free” “sit” and “paw”. Stevie already understands “sit” and “down” come with an implied stay, only to be released by “free” or another command. If you teach your pup this way, you never have to teach unnecessary commands like “stay” or “wait”. Keep things simple for your pup for success! At NNPS we teach you to be the pack leader just like Loreen.

Training should start the day your puppy comes home just like it did with 9 week old Winnie.
Sooooo much good going on here!
-the eye contact with Nat
-Winnie already sitting with a hand signal only
-Winnie already know “sit” means sit there until Nat says “free”
And Winnie is doing great with her Crate Training and Potty Training and is already sleeping through the night in her crate.
Nice job Ben & Nat! This is how off-leash obedience begins.
First with Stevie and now with Winnie, NNPS is lighting up the cuteness meter!
