Purr Pop
Mama loves her catnip purr pop. 😍 She tricked me into giving her a second one, which she also devoured. 🤣🥰🥹 Babies are learning from mama that treats are life. 🙂
I’m sorry to even have to post this… but we had to let Alice leave us peacefully to be with her brother today. 💔 A lot has happened since Wednesday when Alice began declining after her brother passed away…Alice went to the vet to get a full blood panel and urinalysis done, and surprisingly everything was normal. Again, no answers for why she was not doing well. 😢 She was very suddenly and quickly declining, she was not able to eat on her own anymore, and even with syringe feeding, she didn’t seem able to swallow even liquid anymore. It was very heartbreaking because she WANTED to eat, she wanted to live😭, especially after she got a shot of cerenia at the vet, and as a last ditch effort we tried an appetite stimulant. She just could not eat at all. 💔 I contacted all of the emergency vet neurology depts in our area and after explaining the situation many times, it was determined to likely be some kind of rapid neurological degenerative congenital disorder that the babies were born with, something which affects the brain and nervous system and causes deterioration until they can no longer function. 😢 This video was on Thursday when she was at the vet.
I’m devastated beyond belief because this was not expected. After we couldn’t find a special needs rescue to take them, I was getting used to the idea of keeping them myself and giving them the most fulfilling life possible…but to have that so suddenly ripped away has caused an unthinkable amount of sadness and grief. 😢💔
Please consider donating to help cover their final vet bills. We had a bill of $350 on Thursday, and $275 today. Prior to that we also had a bill for Chessur in the amount of $275, plus $110 bill for fecal tests, and other bills for these kittens totaling over $500. Any help is greatly appreciated. 😢🙏🏼🩷

Another food that they really like and seem to be able to eat easily, is the royal canin, mother and babycat wet food. They’re also eating the mother and babycat dry food as well, because they were mostly used to eating dry food, and I didn’t feel like they were getting enough food from just wet food. Thankfully we just got some of this food donated, so thank you very much! 🩷 http://linktr.ee/shannonsfosters
Morning & Afternoon potty times, for everyone who doesn’t know what this entails. 🤭 I’ve been pottying them before they eat at least 3x a day. The way she looks up at me, and dangles her little feet, is so cute 😂🩷
I love them so much already. 🩷 They’re making a lot of improvement and I really truly hope we can figure out a way to work on their mobility. They stayed up like this all on their own for ten minutes while they ate! Just yesterday all they could do was lay on their sides and shake… so I think they’re worth a chance, as long as they are trying, we will keep going. I don’t think they are suffering, they just need a little help right now. They purr and cuddle and they love to be held and kissed, they lick and give me kisses, they nuzzle their noses into my face. 🩷
The babies are enjoying wet food for the first time in their lives. 🩷 They’ve only been able to eat dry adult cat food once a day whenever they were moved to the bowls. They had no access to water. & They’ve had zero access to even try to use a litter box, and have just been left to lay in one spot on the toddler’s toy sofa, and pee and poop on themselves. Left alone all day because everyone worked 12 hour shifts. 😢 I’m so glad the people were trying to find a better situation for the babies, because they knew they could not properly care for them.
Consider donating to their care if you’re able to! We just got home from a second vet visit, where we ran bloodwork on one of the kittens to test for neurological infections. It was graciously suggested by multiple people for us to rule out infections, especially since it really doesn’t look like classic CH, just some kind of neurological condition. 🙏🏼

So, now that we have the neuro kittens safe, someone reached out to me and suggested we test the kittens for toxo. I immediately made another vet appointment for today at 4pm. @underoneskyrescue happened to be at a vet appointment and showed the videos to her veterinarian and she agreed that it could probably be an infection of some kind — toxoplasmosis or meningitis were some that they mentioned.
I’m not sure what the cost will be yet, but we will start with testing one of the kittens and go from there. I don’t really have funds to go crazy with tests on both of them right now. But if anyone would like to further donate to their care, we can hope to find some answers by doing bloodwork.
This really wasn’t something I was considering taking on, but the thought of these babies being euthanized without just cause didn’t sit well with me, so that is why I took them myself.
We will still pursue a special needs rescue for them though, but maybe if we can get some more answers as to what’s going on with them, maybe, just maybe, we will find someone willing to take them. 🥺
Please donate if you are able to. 🥺🙏🏼

Update: we are going to pay for a vet visit for these kittens to make sure they are okay and see if there is anything they need or can be done for them. The owner is bringing them to our vet on Wednesday morning. Consider donating If you are able to and want to help them. We are still looking for another more permanent option for them, but we will make sure they are okay in the meantime. 🙏🏼

🆘 I got a video of the sweet little kittens who cannot move. They are still looking for a rescue to take them. We’ve talked to many, but have not found them somewhere to go yet.
Some info about them:
They are 8 weeks old, they were born without the use of their hind legs, they CAN go to the bathroom on their own, but they can barely move and are unable to get to the litter box at this time. They may have been born with swimmers syndrome, the owners think they might have CH also. It’s possible they were born with deformed legs. It’s so hard to know because they have not been examined by a vet.
Please share and tag any rescues you know, so we can try to find them help before they end up in the wrong hands or at the shelter — or worse. 🙏🏼 Camarillo, CA.
🆘
These 7 cuties were the babies born on someone’s doorstep with their 2 moms around Christmas. 🥰 They’re super cute, sweet, and sooo playful. They will be available for adoption in around 4-6 weeks appx. 🩷
These incredibly sweet and cuddly babies are so perfect! 4 of them will be adopted in pairs this weekend, just little Blake (in the hammock) is left looking for a home! After this weekend she will be paired up with our little tortie Wilma, who is also the last one left from her litter. 🩷 We’ve had some unimaginably sweet kittens available so far this year. 🐾🩷
