The day we rescued Kona
Six years ago today, we saved Kona from the Haven Pet Center in San Jacinto, a facility that had scheduled him for euthanasia. What was his crime? He struggled to walk on a hard surface.
After rescuing him, it was determined that both of his kneecaps were dislocated. That was the reason to give up on him? They are a nonprofit just like us, but we could never imagine ending a life due to costly care.
Instead, we used our resources for several surgeries to correct his kneecaps and give Kona the life he deserves - a loving home.
What are they using their donations for? Certainly not for Kona or the hundreds of other dogs that never received proper medical care. Not for Dutch. Both of his ACL’s were torn

Big Momma made it out
Big Mamma's tale is one of unwavering hope. Despite the tumors that made her adoption unlikely, she remained a cherished volunteer favorite, and her zest for life inspired everyone around her.
After undergoing multiple surgeries to remove the masses, she learned to thrive with a missing digit on her front paw, and her love for life only grew stronger.
When we rescued Hope, Big Mamma's nurturing side emerged, and she earned the nickname Big Momma. Her presence is a blessing, and it's a reminder that every life has value.
Unfortunately, due to a lack of donations, we wouldn't be able to rescue her today, but her life motivates us to keep pushing forward, reminding us that donations save lives.

I love you Hope
Hope's remarkable journey is a testament to the life-changing power of love, compassion, and determination. As one of the most incredible dogs we’ve ever rescued, her story inspires us to continue our mission of providing hope and healing to those in need.
I am deeply grateful to have shared in Hope's life, showering her with love and receiving her affection in return. When we rescued Hope from the San Bernardino Animal Shelter, she was a mere 37 pounds, her body weakened by diabetes and her sight impaired by cataracts.
Yet, with the help of our dedicated team and extensive medical care, Hope began to blossom. Her cataracts were removed, restoring her sight, and she gradually regained her strength. As a beacon of hope for our rescue efforts, Hope touched the hearts of everyone she met.
Although her care came at a significant cost, nearing $30,000, every moment with Hope was invaluable.
Please help us rescue more dogs like Hope by donating.

Mauve was found in Stockton with a huge mass between her legs
Mauve's journey from a stray in Stockton to a beloved companion is truly inspiring. Found with a huge mass between her legs, causing her immense discomfort, who would give this sweet girl a second chance?
After her rescue, a CT scan revealed the mass wasn't attached to bone, and her care, costing nearly $10,000, was made possible by generous donations. As the huge mass was removed, several smaller ones were also extracted, giving Mauve a new lease on life.
Today, she's thriving, thanks to the kindness of strangers.
