🐾Rocky is searching for his furever home!!!🏡

He is a 4-year old pitbull who absolutely LOVES “walking himself” by carrying the leash in his mouth and loves to wiggle on his back too😍 He loves every person he meets, and is such a lover!!

Rocky loves to jump up and give hugs and kisses, and is a bit rough with giving love (and pibble nibbles)! He is a lap dog and loves to be close and snuggle! This boy is literally a big ball of pure happiness and love!! 🥰

He is leash-reactive and has a high prey drive (so no cats or small dogs), and would do best with a guardian who can handle his strength. We provide support for training for his entire life (using rewards-based training)!🤩

He has lived with dogs in the past (and was then turned into the shelter and restricted from interacting with other dogs), so after all he’s gone through, he would do best as the only animal in the home!🤗

He could be adopted by someone that has other dogs, but they would need to be committed to separating and rotating longterm (potential for very slow intros with other large dogs over time).

Our two ADOPTABLE BOYS Rocky and JB just wanted to grace your IG feed to remind you that they are still waiting to find their furever homes or even longterm foster homes!!🥰🥰

Rocky is currently staying with me and JB is staying at a boarding facility. They each need only-animal homes OR multi-dog households that can commit to separating and rotating with other animals in the home.🤗

What does separate and rotate mean? It means only having one dog out in a certain area at any given time. How is this achieved? By keeping animals in separate rooms, using baby gates and playpen fencing, and using a crate. This means giving one-on-one time to our dog that is separate from when you are with your animals.✨

Yes this does mean taking our dog on a separate walk from your other dogs and giving them one-on-one playtime and cuddle sessions with you, separate from your other pets!🙏🏽

As their rescue org, we provide all supplies, food, gates/fencing, vet care, toys, etc! We also provide access to professional trainers (virtually) to help you build the skillsets needed to confidently and successfully “separate and rotate”!

And I am personally always available 24/7 to all of our foster parents via text or phone. You have a whole team ready to support you when you welcome in a Miko’s Rescue Foster Dog into your home!🎉🎉🎉

PITTIE SPOTLIGHT ON ROCKY!!! 🎉✨🤍

This big polar bear 🐻‍❄️ is soo lovable and cuddly!! He’s full of smiles and is always happy! He is a talker and “roos” when he’s excited! 😍😍😍

Nothing brings him more joy than carrying items in his mouth, and he especially loves “walking himself” by carrying the leash in his mouth (and he roos the entire time too!)

Rocky is wiggly and strong, loves to jump up and give hugs and kisses, and will pibble nibble your face in between each lick. He doesn’t know his size (he’s 85lbs) and truly believes he is a lap dog 🤣 (and I can’t disagree lol). This boy is literally a big ball of pure happiness and love!! 🥰

Rocky is leash-reactive, so he does need someone committed to learning & gaining the skillsets needed to manage this on walks (we provide support for training for his entire life!) He has a high prey drive and is not small dog or cat friendly, so an only-animal home is preferred!

He has lived with dogs in the past (and was then turned into the shelter and restricted from interacting with other dogs), so after all he’s gone through, he would do best as the only animal in the home.

It may be possible for him to live with a calm large dog, though we’d need someone committed to separating and rotating longterm (possibly indefinitely) with the future potential for very slow integrations over time. Rocky has done well playing with Miko in short bursts (with Rocky muzzled), and I am continuing to slowly have them interact more frequently.

PLEASE SHARE ROCKY!!! He is such a loving boy who deserves a true furever family of his own!! He needs someone strong and someone who appreciates all the love he has to give🫶✨

We love our Rockstar soooo much and know his person/family is out there, and we are patiently awaiting the day his happily ever after comes to fruition! 🎉🎉
