We had a nice Sunday morning at our Memorial Day Tune-Up honoring those who have served.
We practiced some obedience, then played our version of DOGGY MUSICAL CHAIRS, heeling to the Marine Corps Anthem.

Team Liam
On Mother’s Day, (May 12th , 2024) Jinny and Liam took first place in Rally with a perfect score of 100. Liam finished his Rally Novice title! He also had a beautiful run in Novice Obedience. He earned second place and finished his Companion Dog title. Jinny is very proud of Liam as he earned both of these in 3 straight shows, with no NQs. Team Wylie

WYLIE does it again! On Sunday (Mother’s Day) Wylie and I attended my clubs Rally and Obedience Show. Wylie was needing 1 "leg" in both Obedience and Rally to finish his title. For my non dog friends you need 3 "legs" to get your title. Our first class was Novice Rally. Wylie gave me a really nice run and got 98 out of 100 points. That was good for Second Place AND HIS TITLE. Wylie earned his title in the minimum amount of trys with scores of 100,98, and 97. Then it was time for Beginner Novice Obedience. Wylie gave me a really super performance and got 195 points out of 200 for First Place AND HIS TITLE! Again 3 for 3 with respectable scores of 195, 192 and 192.
I had someone come up to me and say how nice it was to see someone with a Pomeranian doing Obedience. As I always say treat them like they have legs and a brain and you have an amazing dog.
Wylie LOVES doing things with me. This was an extra special day for him as he went all by himself and got 100% my attention. Usually he has a brother along.

The Buenaventura Dog Training Club held it’s Mother’s Day Show on May 11th and 12th, 2024. Everyone had a very nice time at the show.

A GREAT time was had by all at our Tune-Up in the Park this past Sunday.
It was a lovely day, and all the dogs and handlers enjoyed their fun afternoon. It was so nice to see such a large group of well-mannered dogs enjoying themselves while learning some new skills!

This DILIGENT group just graduated with flying colors from our Novice course.
They were subjected to wet training weather and multiple rain delays, but they persevered! As you can see, Mother Nature gave them ONE LAST CHALLENGE – graduation in the rain!
Congratulations to this fabulous group of dogs and handlers. They all came SO far, and made us VERY proud!

Trump - Silver Bay Kennel Club, Del Mar, February 24th, Veteran Sweepstakes, Best Opposite Veteran
included a qualifying Handler Discrimination Scent work the following weekend.

Ruby - Silver Bay Kennel Club, Del Mar, February 24th, Award of Merit in
Conformation and a qualifying run Rally Intermediate, 2nd leg (score 88)

Ruby - Scent Work trial - March 9th, Scent Work Club of the San Gabriel Foothills. Qualified in Exterior, Buried (2nd place - they were supposed to mail the ribbon), Container (4th place - they were supposed to mail the ribbon). She received her third qualifying run in Containers which completed her Novice Scent Work title. Meaning she has received three qualifying runs in each element - containers, interior, exterior and buried.

Carina - Silver Bay Kennel Club, Del Mar, February 24 - 26 - Obedience: Graduate Novice 1st place, 1st leg; 1st place, 2nd leg; 2nd place, 3rd leg and her Graduate Novice title
Rally: Rally Intermediate, 3rd leg and title; One extra leg because she was entered.

Trump received an invitation to the Rally National competition for Rally Intermediate and Carina was invited to the Rally National competition for Rally Novice. Phots to come.

A good time was had by all at the “WEARIN’ O’ THE GREEN” St. Patrick’s Day TUNE-UP at Verde Park in Simi this past Saturday.
Thanks to all of our hard working and dedicated students who came out to participate. We practiced some obedience, then played Tic Tac Toe with Sits and Downs, and had a relay race with Potatoes on Spoons!
And thanks to Tony, we even had green cookies! The dogs all did an awesome job and as always, it was so much fun to see everyone.
