My name is Melody Coleman and I have been a professional groomer for 10 years. I am a member of the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA). I am Pet Tech CPR and First Aid Certified, as well as AKC S.A.F.E Certified. I enjoy working with all breeds of dogs and specialize in skin and coat care.

I have made it to Atlanta for an amazing weekend of all things Grooming! Enjoyed listening to 2 of my idols today while stocking up on fabulous products at the Show Season tent sale. The remaining 3 days will be spent at the Georgia International Convention Center for Groom'd learning all of the latest tips and tricks from our industry's greatest! This post has begun circulating in many pet groups and amongst many fellow pet professionals. And I have to say, I am glad it has! As a pet professional, I always want to advocate for your pet. Sometimes this means a part of the groom cannot be completed that day. And that is ok. By respecting a pet's boundaries and working with them to become more comfortable, we are setting them up for success, not trauma and failure. Sometimes it just takes a little extra time and grace ❤️

The pet professionals in your life should always be advocating for your animals. ❤️
