Questions we commonly get:
Why do you have to take dental radiographs? Can’t you just clean the teeth?

Answer: This a dental radiograph from a patient during dental month. Just based on looking in the animals mouth when they were sedated, it looked like the patient was just missing a tooth. It could have been pulled before…it could have fallen out…it could have never had the tooth. The gums were not inflamed or deformed. Gum line had no gingivitis. So we took dental radiographs, as part of our dental protocol, and we were surprised to find two remaining roots.

If we did not take the radiograph, we would have never found these roots! So dental radiographs show us a lot more than the naked eye.

🦷 some various dental X-rays we have taken last year. All of these mouths had severe dental tartar. Some of them had loose teeth due to bone loss and some looked normal except we saw bone loss on the X-rays!
