This is lucky Lucy. She developed a sour croup when we were on vacation in August. I have nursed her using various methods and she is finally on the mend and will be returning to the flock in a few days. Needless to say she’s become quite tame and spoil.
Sonny, my daughter Shelly Pellett Wisnewski’s gelding is undergoing training with Kristin Coker of Wild Roots Horsemanship
The babies at play. Well Dixie is almost 2. Raven and. Charlie 9 months.
So proud of Bella. She has been taught to trailer herself for her meals. She is due to leave soon and couldn’t be any prouder of her. I had forgotten how rewarding it is working with these babies ❤️❤️
These sweet girls are Summer, out of Southern Magnolia’s Whimsey, and sired by PrimeTime and my granddaughter, Eliza. She loves the babies. Summer is available to an exceptional home.
Today was Gayle and her baby’s day to be turned into their paddock and out of the stall. She was really happy at first until the other horses came to look at her baby. She pinned her ears at them, circled around that baby till I thought he was going to be a top and finally got him in a corner so they couldn’t see him. For fear of the little guy getting hurt we put her back in the stall where she seemed really happy. We don’t give up, we will try again tomorrow. I’m still trying to think of a barn name for him so open to suggestions. He reminds me of her colt whiskey so much but I can’t really use that name.
Jessa left for her forever home today. She will have the best life with John Michael and Shelli Schulte.
Today was bath day for my little boys. They did wonderful and looked so nice and clean. Flanagan, who has a beautiful white chestnut tobiano coat, was my first worry for a roll but instead he went over to the hay bale and scratched himself on the netting and dropped in the hay. That works for me. Much easier to brush out. Gabriel gave it a try to but wasn’t quite as successful. ❤️❤️
My son-in-law Harry and my daughter, Holly help us in the evening with the stalls. Gabriel loves Harry and when he sees him he has to have his hugs and follows him to the stalls. Probably the most loving baby I’ve ever had. A beautiful bay colt out of Lallybroch, sired by Pink Panther who turned one month today.
A quick look at the babies and mamas in pasture.
