If you've been following our page long enough, you know there's one day a year where I traditionally break form and get a little sentimental. Eleven years ago, I wore Steve down and he gave me a job here. He hasn't managed to shake me loose yet, so I've become a part of the family. It's a great family to be a part of and I wouldn't change it for the world.
Here at Emmons, they've taken a hobby and turned it into a way of life. The Emmons family is a crew of fish experts with over 150 years of combined knowledge and experience in all things tropical fish. (If they don't know it, it's probably not worth knowing.) It's not just the brains though, it's a whole lot of heart. I'm grateful and honored to be a part of that.
This post wouldn't be complete without also taking a moment to thank all of you. Without our customers and loyal Fish Fans, we wouldn't have been able to keep this wholesome environment going for our 50+ years in the biz. Thank you all for continuing to rely local and support our Emmons family!

Hey there, Fish Fans! 🐠💕
We are looking for someone to join our crew to help with in store animal and fish care. This is a part-time position -- a few days a week including one weekend day.
This position is open to folks over the age of 16. We are looking for someone hardworking who loves animals. Experience with the aquarium hobby is helpful but not required. All training will be provided. The majority of your work will be maintenance, but being able to communicate with customers and co-workers is important.
A driver's license and/or your own transportation is a MUST. For any high school students interested, we are looking for people who don't have prior engagements like sports (it makes scheduling very difficult). This is a very physical job and the ability to comfortably lift 40lbs and be on your feet for the majority of a shift will be crucial.
