Ughhh, the dreaded cough!

We've had two reports of coughing dogs. Please keep an eye out for symptoms and keep all dogs showing symptoms of illness at home. While canine cough is rarely serious, it is very contagious as it is an airborne illness.

Canine cough or “kennel cough” is a generic term for several upper respiratory infections. Unfortunately the vaccine is not 100% effective much like humans getting the flu shot.
Signs include a cough or hack that usually goes away in a few days. They may also have sneezing with nasal discharge. In rare cases it can develop into pneumonia so it's best to see your veterinarian for a treatment plan if symptoms are not improving.
