Kodiak & Katmai, 7-year-old Alaskan brown bear siblings were orphaned in the wild! They found a home in Sioux Falls, teaching us how to protect their wild counterparts.

Like all siblings, they have spats but are best friends at heart. 🥰

We kicked off our We Can’t Wait! Chamber Appeal campaign last night!

This Chamber appeal is part of a larger $50 million fundraising effort to help support SFZA’s master plan. This transformational campaign will help us build a new education center, a world-class aquarium, a butterfly rainforest, and a new home for our Humboldt penguins.

Endorsed by the Greater Sioux Falls Chamber of Commerce, we aim to raise $1.3 million from the Sioux Falls business community by March 31, 2025. Led by Chamber co-chairs Adam Kniffen and Laura Mitchell, along with 80+ dedicated volunteers, we’re excited to unite land, sea, and sky at SFZA!

The SFZA is honored to be the focus of the Chamber’s Community Appeal and to share our progress with all of you. Follow our journey to make this vision a reality!
