**I know some pet parents are concerned about boarding because of the strange respiratory illness going around. I contacted my vet, and there are currently no cases of it in South Dakota. If there were to be any confirmed cases, each vet office would receive a letter from the state.
I do require an immunization record if your pet stays with me.**

It's National Walk Your Dog Week!

Did you know that only half of dog owners walk their dog at least once per day? 🥺 Not walking your dog can shorten their life by a year!

🐾 Regular walks help your pup get out excess energy and allow your pet to spend time with you in a positive manner.

🐾 Walks help to build their confidence in interacting with the outside world and decrease their loneliness and fear.

🐾 If your pet is not given the opportunity to explore new sights and smells they can become bored, and boredom can lead to destruction.

🐾 Consistent walks can improve digestive and urinary health.

🐾 The physical exertion of a walk can help to decrease their stress levels.

🐾 Pups who do not get exercised can quickly become obese, which can ultimately lead to cardiovascular and liver disease, osteoarthritis, and insulin resistance.

There's something about geriatric dogs that melt my heart. Taffy, aka Taffodil, stayed with us and became a member of our family for a month. Car rides, walks, a trip to Watertown, new friends, lots and lots of treats, snuggles, and kisses. One of the best dogs I've had the pleasure to take care of 💜🩷
