We have a lot of new followers, so I thought I should share about myself again.
Our family loves to be in the woods, nature is such a beautiful place to be.
🌳🌲Forest bathing 🌲🌳
The real definition is to go into the trees and be still, make no noise and feel your surroundings. Well when we go into the forest with our kids and dogs it's hard to be quiet or still but we always come back feeling rejuvenated and happy.
These pictures were taken 5 years ago when Lola was still with us. She had so many health issues but we loved her with all of our hearts. She is another reason WHY I make sure to health test all of my breeding dogs.
If the breeder I had gotten her from years ago had taken more precautions Lola wouldn't have had to live with the genetic diseases DM that gets passed along.
If you have spare time this week I highly recommend trying to forest bathe, even if you live in a city and just sit by a tree. There is something about the vibration of energy that helps our bodies from nature.
Go be barefoot in a stream! Reconnect with your inner child ✨💫

Hazel looking stunning on this ☀️ sunny cold South Dakota day.
She's completed her month of training and is so super smart!!
She was a tough little cookie to crack though. Super stubborn this one, but she's learned soooo much.
💫Puppies from our program start this training as well. They go home to their new families with such a bright future and so many skills mastered already 👌

Got a p**p 💩 eater.....⁉️⁉️

In many cases it's just a simple mineral deficiency and adding a few months of supplements to balance the body is all you'll need. With this, you just simply put a few drops on their food.
Here's something that I recommend, it's a huge source of tracing minerals which are super important for the body.

We all work or have to leave our dogs in the kennel or by themselves. Dog puzzles or licks are an excellent way to keep them entertained for a lengthy time in their crate or at your feet in your office.

We made peanut butter for my dogs, using only raw skinless unsalted peanuts. Super easy and then you don’t have to worry about extra ingredients.
We used about 3 cups of peanuts in our food processor and let it run until it’s peanut butter. I think it took maybe 10 or 15 minutes. 🥜 🥄🥜🥄🥜🥄
Peanut butter is considered good for dogs because it contains a good amount of protein, healthy fats, vitamins like E, and essential minerals like magnesium, making it a nutritious treat when fed in moderation; it can also be a great motivator for training due to its appealing taste to dogs.

There are so many ups and downs to being an ethical breeder.
🚫⚠️‼️ ENTROPION 👁️
Last summer we added new a bloodline to our program with the cutest puppy.
We placed her in the most loving guardian home (a family gets a pet that we keep the breeding rights on)
We put dogs in guardian homes to watch them grow to see if they will be used in our breeding program someday.
Lexi has developed a condition called entropion. It is passed on genetically.... Some puppies are born with it and some dogs don't develop it until later...Lexi didn't develop this until recently.
We base our program on health and because of this we are removing Lexi from the breeding program.
Lots of breeders out there will still breed a dog who has entropion. They simply say who cares, it's a simple inexpensive surgery....
‼️‼️‼️‼️But WHY‼️‼️‼️....why pass on a genetic condition that can be avoided with ethical breeding decisions. Why put a dog through surgery?
It's not worth it to the dogs or future puppy families.
There is no perfect dog out there but there are ways help help avoid certain health conditions.
✨✨✨ This ismist certainly not me bashing the breeder we got her from either. Do I know 💯 that Lexus parents had entropion, no. This is a genetic condition that can pop up. What I'm saying is, if your breeding stock is directly affected, pet home, don't breed the dog, it is the human thing to dog✨✨✨✨
My very first olde English bulldog had this condition and I made a promise to her that I would do my very best in honor of her to be an ethical breeder. Rest in peace Bella girl.
