As we say goodbye to 2024, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible year we’ve had. This year brought growth, milestones, and countless memories, and it’s all thanks to YOU—our amazing community.
Here’s what 2024 looked like for us:
🌟 1,564 Riding Lessons – Watching riders grow in skill and confidence is our greatest joy!
🌟 282 Students welcomed to our farm – From first-time riders to longtime clients, your presence makes this place special.
🌟 33 Campers – Our camps were full of learning, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
🌟 33 Barn Days Kids – What a privilege to share farm life with so many wonderful people!
💫 A Show Season for the Books – Our riders and horses exceeded expectations this year, achieving personal bests, earning top placings, and representing Rugged Cross Stables with dedication and sportsmanship. The hard work, perseverance, and passion from both riders and their horses made this season one for the books!
To our dedicated employees—your hard work and passion for what we do never go unnoticed. You’re the backbone of everything here, and we’re so thankful for each of you.
To our training and boarding clients, thank you for trusting us with your horses and your goals. Seeing you and your horses succeed is what drives us forward.
To our veterinarians and farriers, we are so grateful for the care, expertise, and dedication you bring to every horse under our care. Your work ensures our horses stay happy, healthy, and ready to perform, and we couldn’t do this without you.
To every parent, camper, student, and visitor, you’ve all played a part in making Rugged Cross Stables the vibrant community we’re so proud to call home.

And with that, the 2023 season comes to an end✨
Wow! We tend to forget to sit back and look at all that’s been achieved…lessons taught, horses trained, but most importantly, LIVES changed. When you are in the everyday guts of running a business, you don’t tend to take a step back, you just keep chiseling away with your head down so we love to sit down and review the year together.
First and foremost, we could not do what we do without our incredible employees and clients..and let’s not forget these amazing animals we get to work with.
We introduced a new unmounted horsemanship program, Equine Empower, into our offerings as well as expanded our summer camps, increasing lesson clientele as we transitioned to online scheduling, made numerous upgrades to our facility, hosted our first barn hang out day, and took on our first full time employee. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of our year’s highlights. Whew, we are tired but our hearts have never been more full.
