Wow! We tend to forget to sit back and look at all that’s been achieved…lessons taught, horses trained, but most importantly, LIVES changed. When you are in the everyday guts of running a business, you don’t tend to take a step back, you just keep chiseling away with your head down so we love to sit down and review the year together.
First and foremost, we could not do what we do without our incredible employees and clients..and let’s not forget these amazing animals we get to work with.
We introduced a new unmounted horsemanship program, Equine Empower, into our offerings as well as expanded our summer camps, increasing lesson clientele as we transitioned to online scheduling, made numerous upgrades to our facility, hosted our first barn hang out day, and took on our first full time employee. This doesn’t even scratch the surface of our year’s highlights. Whew, we are tired but our hearts have never been more full.

Lots of tears this past week as we prepared to sent our very favorite, Icecube back to his family to enjoy a MUCH deserved retirement. We’ve gotten to love on Icecube the last nearly three years in our lesson program at RCS. In that time, he taught hundreds of kids to ride, be confident, and what true friendship is. A million thanks would never be enough to the Mutchler family. Icecube, enjoy endless round bales and all the treats in retirement. From every single instructor, student, camper, birthday kid that has set foot at Rugged Cross….WE LOVE YOU🤍
