Thank you to everyone who came for our nail trim event today to support Emily's family. We completed 105 nail trims today in honor of Emily and her love of animals, and we are still continuing to get donations for her family . This is part of what sets Sioux Falls apart, when we can get together and lift up this family in the midst of a great tragedy.
Emily's family has been blown away by the support from our community and beyond, and they are so grateful. If you weren't able to make it to this event, we will still accept donations at our 49th st location for the next week or so. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!

Ps. Shout out to our groomers Bethani, Jada, Bailey, and Lashawn for trimming over 1600 nails today! Well done ladies ❤️

We will be hosting a nail trim station at our 49th St. location this Sunday from 12–4 p.m. to raise funds for Emily’s family. We welcome any donation—with a suggested amount of $20—and kindly ask that you bring cash or a check so that the full amount can be given directly to her family.

All animals are welcome for a nail trim; however, for the safety of everyone, dogs and cats must provide digital or physical proof of vaccinations.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our dear colleague, Emily. As a valued member of our mini-critters family at the dog hotel, Emily’s dedication to the pups in her care and the joy she brought to our everyday work will always be remembered. Her passion for animals enriched our lives and reminded us how special it is to work alongside people who treat every pet like family.

While we are still processing this loss, please know that our thoughts are with Emily’s family during this incredibly difficult time. We will be sharing information about a fundraiser for her family later today or tomorrow.

In our close-knit mini-critters family, we support one another and honor the memories of those who have touched our hearts. Emily’s spirit will forever be a part of our community, and her legacy of care and compassion will continue to inspire us.

Rest in peace, Emily. You will be deeply missed.
