Adopted - together!! 🩷How cute is this bonded pair? A big guy and his little buddy!🩷

Meet Kaigo and Okami, a recent surrender that is hoping they can find a family that has room for two!

🩷 Kaigo is a 7 year old golden retriever.
🩷 Okami is a 3.5 year old "cavachon".
🩷 Both have done well with respectful children.
🩷 Kaigo likes dog friends, while Okami is picky about dog friends (though he LOVES Kaigo!).

We are keeping our fingers crossed we can keep these two together, finding a home for bonded dogs isn't always the easiest! Help us by sharing this post!

Is your pet due for updated vaccines or in need of a microchip? The WHS Door County Campus is hosting a low-cost vaccine & microchip clinic for cats and dogs on Friday, 9/22 from 2-4pm. Open to everyone! 💙

This absolutely stunning lady is a purebred German Shepherd, she was surrendered to us due to her owner's unexpected health issues.

🐕‍🦺 Originally lived in a multi dog household, so may do well with a dog sibling!
🐕‍🦺 Is 90lbs of fluff.
🐕‍🦺 May greet you with a big boof, but calms down once she is comfortable!

This sweet senior wants out of the shelter and into a comfy home full of blankets! Could that home be yours?

❗We are currently at maximum capacity for dogs ❗

We are looking for support from our AWESOME community for adoption and foster to free up our kennels!

This week has been emotionally tolling on the dogs, the people of our community, and our staff.
We took in:
➡️ 5 dog surrenders.
➡️ 4 returns.
➡️ 13 public holds from unfortunate circumstances.
➡️ 1 bite quarantine.
➡️ 8 strays, 5 of which were reclaimed.
➡️ We currently have 10+ dogs awaiting surrender due to owners losing housing or other urgent scenarios.

This on top of our adoptable population has left us with a total of 🔴34🔴 dogs in care.

We do not have a single available kennel at this time in our hold area for public holds or incoming strays!
