This was today's distributionk for 23 families.There are lots of Sisters Country pets with full bellies this evening, maybe playing with a new toy or sleeping on a new bed. 2018 Furry Friends Foundation Spirit of Giving
It was a fantastic day yesterday at the Sisters Firehall. Furry Friends joined Sisters Kiwanis and Sisters-Camp Sherman RFPD for their annual Spirit of Giving distribution. Thank you to all who have donated this holiday season. Watch the video to see how your holiday dollars were spent to aid 125 families and over 400 pets. Thank you to volunteers Jeannie, Sam & Carolyn, Gregg, Leith, Karly, Sally, Jeanie, Valerie, Naomi and Shirley of Sisters Kiwanis and all the Sisters RFPD volunteers. Furry Friends Pet Food Drive
Check out our holiday food drive. This video was taken before distribution began on Saturday morning. This marks the 25th year of the Furry Friends food drive!
We distributed pet food, toys, coats and treats for 346 pets this past Saturday, including 110 cats, 15 kittens, 190 dogs, 2 puppies, 3 guinea pigs, 5 parakeets, 2 cockatiels, 2 doves, 2 parrots, 6 rabbits, 4 chickens and even 5 goldfish.
Thank you to Teresa Mahnken for inputing all the family information for our data base this year.
With the help of Saturday volunteers Vern and Monica Rendon, Sam and Carolyn Davis, Valerie Fercho-Tillery, Sally Blust, Daca Thomas, Jeanie Ogden, Adrienne Graham, Jeannie Sandecki, Teddy and Dan Crippen, Kennedy Smith, Alexa Asson, KC Dolson and Sabitri Dolson distribution made for another successful year.
This was made possible by the donations and support of Sisters Feed, Sisters Bi-mart, and Mud Bay pet store and Petsmart in Bend. Thank you to the local nonprofit Heartwarmers for their huge donation of hand-made chew toys. We are also grateful for continued support of American Nutrition with their donated 3 pallets of pet food and the generous yearly donation from NylaBone.
