Unusual openings for training sessions and lessons starting next week! As most of you know, I am the sole supporter/provider of my two amazing kiddos, and with this change occuring a few years ago, had to switch gears from taking horses in for full training to working full time at the hospital. If you've seen the news lately, you may have seen that us nurses at the hospital will be striking starting next Monday until an agreement can be made. In turn, I will be out of work for days....weeks? Who knows. In lieu of this, I'm opening up training sessions/lesson slots on a weekly basis. Next week will have openings 9-1:30 Mon-Fri. Would prefer haul ins, but if someone is local and wants to board with daily sessions, that is available. Lessons can be continued once the strike is over, but must be scheduled well in advance. Thank you for your support!

Coming 3 year old (August) c**t available. Pictured in his Spring hairies before trim time. Sheds out to a brilliant mahogany. (SD Prince Caspian X Golden Oaks Sparkling Diamond) SD Woolley Mammoth, SD Flashy Harry, The Lottery Horse, Tumbleweed, to name a few from his lines. PSSM NEG. Sweet, well built, double mane, beard, the start of a stache, with a ton of potential, just not going to be tall enough for us. Has been handled since birth, but is officially starting a few in hand sessions/week. Option to keep him here for further training if desired. PM for more details. Will post official ad with better pics in a few weeks.

Warmer weather, longer days, the girls and I are excited to get some more horse time. With babies to train and a couple boys coming home for the summer for the girls to ride, we were needing to make some room. Luna is in absolute heaven! Very thankful for the offer of keeping her at a friend's place with acres, and acres, and acres to roam ♥️.

Live/rent work situation available. Rent is $1200 for single/ $1400 for double occupancy. Minimum chores are weekday am/pm chores, 4 turnouts scooped/week, and one weekend/month when we are gone. Doing this minimum pays for rent and then some. Summer weekday chores could be lighter, as my daughter wants to work and could take some regular days. Only 1 approved dog allowed. Potential for one horse (not included in rent). Must have horse handling experience, provide equine employment references, pass a background check, no drugs/smoking. Best to call me, as I can't keep track of all the comments once shared. 541-728-7004. Update: helper found!

I'm feeling out the interest in hosting a working equitation clinic here this summer. Clinician would be a friend who is a licensed R Judge. Geared toward experienced riders, but new to WE. Would need to have about 10 riders to bring her from Arizona. Comment here, or send me a pm. Thank you! Pic just for attention.

I found out this am that one of my all time fav horses is for sale. I'd be on my way North today if I had the funds. For you guys that have inquired to me before about an excellent Gypsy boy......here you go. Person listing him is the barn owner, not the current owner. I'd love to see him go to someone I know......and not end up in one of those high priced auction situations.

These hot Fall days allow for some opportunities. Around my place, it's still sprinklers under the trampoline time, complete with screaming/bouncing kiddos. Quite the opportunity to see a horse through a situation where the life comes up. He made it through....and is now better for it. Embrace it. (This bug eyed shot was a before pic😉)

I'm beyond excited to announce this news for the public....but also for me😊. The lovely Kimry Jelen will be offering training at Emboldened Equine! Many of you know her from her beautiful works of art and do not know that she is also an artist with her horsemanship. I'm pretty particular on my horsemanship, and have trusted Kimry with my personal horses when I've been down with injuries. Spaces are limited, and interested parties will be screened to make sure that the program and horse owners expectations are compatible.

Kimry is influenced by or has worked with Manolo Mendez, Linda Tellington-Jones, Ingrid Klimke, Frederic Pignon, Sabine Schut-Kery, Jillian Kreinbring, Uta Graf, Tom Dorrance, and Warwick Schiller. Sue Sherry has been her coach for a couple decades. She had the opportunity to clinic with Karl Mikolka and Miguel Duarte for 4 consistent years and trained for a month in Portugal with him. She continues to learn so that she can be the best possible horsewoman for her horse, Dhiaa.
Kimry's training style works across different disciplines. She uses a variety of activities to teach her equine partners to be upstanding citizens. She has the ability to understand the horse's point of view and solve difficult problems with communication rather than force. Her experience includes cattle grazing association jobs in the Rocky Mountains of New Mexico and Montana, c**t starting, British Horse Society-Stage III certification, professional groom in NY for an eventing barn, dressage trainer, endurance conditioning, and trail rider.
Much of her life has been dedicated to helping horses understand what is expected of them, which increases their willingness and ability to perform. Likewise, she helps owners understand their horses. Kimry says " a horse will tell you how to teach them if you listen". Each one is an individual and has different needs. She works with horses in a way to transform them from spooky, nervous, or resistant behavior to a thinking horse that will understand and respond instead of defending. Kimry inspires confidence, cooperation and curiosity without jeopardizing the safety of the horse and rider/handler.

If interested in chatting with Kimry to see if you and your horse might be a good fit, feel free to message me here or call 541-728-7004 and I can get you in contact. Openings will start June 15. Full care board is required with training.

Another project checked off✔️. This one courtesy of Silar Fencing. This paddock replaces the old mini donk pen....I think the old boards were put up when the house was rolled down the street here on logs (1890). Well, maybe not, but you get the idea. This little pen will be available for a boarder soon😊.

Starting the search for a home for this handsome guy, Wilson. We brought him home from the Burns corrals this last spring. Coming 5 years old. He is originally from Utah. I haven't done much with him yet, but he is sweet, now accepts brushing, and does enjoy his cookies from the ground. Seems to like the company of small humans. Just asking fee for foundational training (haltering/leading, picking up feet, loading, etc). He's a sweet soul. Any long eared lovers on your shopping list?🤔

Greatly enjoyed meeting some new people and doing some teaching on a much needed vaca. A lovely group of fellow students of the horse, and their beautiful teachers. I am continuously humbled by the power of meeting new friends/ building relationships by merely having the commonality of wanting to do right by the horse. Good for the horses, good for their people. Looking forward to returning.🌴
