Meet beautiful Eli, a handsome lab mix! 🐾

Eli is a 40lb six month old pup who was found on the side of the road with his siblings. Thankfully they were saved, and they just don’t come sweeter! He’s the most gentle soul with everyone he meets - dogs, cats, and kids alike! He should be around 60lbs full grown and would do wonderfully in any home willing to show him love. 😊

Eli is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and currently being fostered in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Sweet Coco is learning what the big wide world is all about! She’s shy right now, but every day she comes out of her shell a little bit more. This poor girl has not had the brightest start to life, being used for the sole purpose of breeding and living in a kennel her whole life.

Coco is 5 years old and 84lbs. She could probably afford to lose a few pounds that should come off quickly once she gets the typical exercise dogs should get that she’s never known.

Coco is now spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. We also did bloodwork to make sure she doesn’t have any tick-borne diseases or heartworm, and she is negative. She was also dewormed and is on preventatives! 😊

Coco is a wonderful companion and would do best in a home that has another dog to help continue to bring her out of her shell. She’s good with all people and her fosters’ rabbits as well! See comments for a video of her walking so nicely on leash. Coco is currently being fostered in Lansdale, PA!📍

Incoming - cute sweet pups from Kuwait! ✈️

Pups Badar, Bianca, Dove, Farah, and Nash are excited to head west in early July and find their forever families here in the states.🏡

They are 25-45lb lab mixes who are currently 6.5 months old, estimated to be around 40-60lbs when full grown. They are all neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. While in Kuwait, they have been very socialized and are great with all people, dogs, and cats!

Beautiful sisters Sylvie and Savannah were found with their mom and siblings on the Texas/Mexico border, where they were saved by a good Samaritan and cared for until they could make their way north to us. You’d never know their rough start today though because they are thriving and happy! 🥳

Currently fostered in West Chester, PA, Sylvie (black/tan) is 14lbs and Savannah (brown/tan) is 17lbs. They’re 4.5 months old German shepherd mixes and are extremely bright! They’re house and crate trained, and know sit, down, stay and are working on heel, and will be medium/large sized when full grown. They love other dogs and all people! 🐶♥️

This happy boy always has his tail wagging and tongue out!

That’s because Hershey has something to be happy about. He is finally free from living in a kennel, and enjoying every minute of it. He spent his ENTIRE 3 years of life in a kennel in a puppy mill being used for breeding. He is finally free and enjoying every minute of his new world.

He gets to explore and hang out with people and other dogs, and loves experiencing a lot of “firsts”, such as water (which he LOVES)!

Hershey is a 3-year-old Chocolate lab who is a big boy weighing in at 116lb (but needs to lose about 25lb). He didn’t get any exercise so gained a few extra lbs. Although he came in very timid and scared, he warmed up quickly once he realized that not all people are scary.

He was just neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. We also did bloodwork to make sure he doesn’t have any tick-borne diseases or heartworm, and he is negative. He was also dewormed and is on preventatives!

Viviane is a stunning hound mix who is 7.5 months old and 40lb. She loves all people, especially kids. She loves her doggie friends in her foster home and is crate and house trained!

Four more puppy mill dogs caught their freedom ride today. ❤️

The two chocolate labs, who we named Coco (female) and Hershey (male), were incredibly fearful. They hid behind everything they could, and shook in fear. While giving Coco a bath, she wouldn’t even look at us, and just stared into the corner. It is truly heartbreaking to see how traumatized these dogs are once they come out of the mill. They have seen nothing but the insides of their kennels their entire lives. We were told that one is 3 and one is 5 years old, but will have our vet give an appropriate assessment of their age. They are currently at the vet getting vaccines, spayed/neutered, bloodwork, and microchipped.

The mini Goldendoodle, Charlotte, is five years old and is also at the vet, getting spayed, vaccinated, bloodwork, and microchip. She is going to a foster to adopt home.

Lastly, we have a five month old male mini Bernedoodle, who we named Chester. He was given up by the Amish mill since they could not sell him.

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. The way they tell the child to “get off of me” might not be so nice.

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***

It’s Friday and you know that that means! 🎉

This $5 Friday is in honor of this super sweet boy, Will. Will is a 6 year old standard poodle weighing 50lbs. He’s a former puppy mill dad whose sole purpose was to produce puppies for income while living in horrific conditions with no medical care.

He thankfully has a new lease on life and is learning how to be a dog with his wonderful foster family. He is loving and truly enjoys the companionship of all people and other dogs. He overcame his biggest hurdle of all this week with major surgery!

Due to neglect of medical care his whole life, Will had to have 19 TEETH (nearly all) removed, had a mass the size of a golf ball on his side removed, and was neutered which will hopefully save him from what is suspected to be testicular cancer. He’s doing well in his recovery and is ready for a new and brighter start!

This procedure was north of $1,000 in cost and it is surgeries like these that we truly couldn't do without your support. If you could possibly donate just $5, we would appreciate it. If not, please send good vibes and prayers!

Meet beautiful Glaze! This girls got it all going for her… all she needs now is her family!🐾

Glaze is a 9 month old 35 pound terrier mix who is very loving and mild mannered. She LOVES other dogs and would do best in a home that has a doggie friend. She’s also great with kids and cats!

Glaze has been working hard with one of our trainers to gain more confidence. She’s very shy when you first meet her but once she’s comfortable, she’s your best friend! Hello from beautiful Bea, a 50lb 4.5 year old terrier mix! For those following her story, Bea has made fabulous strides towards better health under our care. 🏥

Rewinding a bit, Bea came to us 2.5 months ago with severe allergies. We took her to our allergist and found out that she’s allergic to just about everything! It was also discovered that she has hypothyroidism and a slight heart murmur. She also underwent treatment recently for a MRSA infection that has since cleared.

We’ve sorted out her food and medications going forward including Synthroid and prednisone as needed, and she is thriving! Her hair has started to grow back on her legs and back area, and she seems much more comfortable. See picture of her when she came here versus how she’s coming along with treatment! While she may never look perfect on the outside, she makes up for it with her completely wonderful personality 🤩.

Bea has so much to offer and hopes someone will give her a chance to give them unconditional love! She was the “office” dog at the shelter we pulled her from and was loved by all - dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Please consider adding her to your family! She is currently being fostered in Westville, NJ.

It’s a potcake/pothound palooza! 🎉

What is a potcake? The potcake dog is a mixed-breed dog type found on several Caribbean islands. They’re more commonly called pothounds on the island of Grenada. They can have many different characteristics, but are known for being wonderful companions and always 100% adorable!

We have several potcake/pothound puppies seeking their forever families, after being saved with their ‘freedom flights’ from a lifetime of shelter life in the islands. ✈️ Upcoming CDC guidelines will very soon (Aug 1) restrict dogs under 6 months from coming into the US, posing great risk for many island puppies of never making it off the island. Adopting one of these puppies means more room to save another puppy before the new rules take effect!

These pups range in age from 12 weeks to 5 months and have been acclimated to home life thanks to our wonderful fosters. They’re outgoing, happy, and get along great with other dogs, cats, and kids. Details about each are in their photos below! 📸

🆘 Kelce needs help 🆘

Nearly two years ago, one of our beautiful adopted dogs from the Bahamas (previously named Grateful), found the most wonderful home. Heartbreakingly she has fallen extremely sick. 💔

A message from her Mama, Jill:
Kelce ended up unexpectedly in the ICU this week. She began vomiting and labs showed concerning numbers. After an ultrasound and x-ray, they found her internal organs were actually in her thoracic cavity. They said this is not something that happens congenitally and is typically due to trauma. They asked me if she had been hit by a car or kicked because this picture is consistent with that type of injury.

She’s now in ICU and has been since Tuesday. She had surgery on Tuesday to take care of the hernia and get organs in the right places. They had to remove her spleen and her liver has injury, but hopefully will recover. She had another surgery today because her lungs kept leaking air and while she is clinically stable- the chest tubes can’t be removed and she can’t be managed right now outside of the ICU setting.

If we can get the leak resolved, she has an amazing chance at leading a normal life. She is my entire world and I’m so devastated by this.

She is such a fighter and I’m fighting right with her. I’ve been assured she is comfortable and I visit her daily.

Beautiful Sky is one of the sweetest dogs you will meet!💕

Sky (f) is a 6-year-old 62lb Belgian Malinois who was rescued from a puppy mill where she was bred for profit her entire life. She is incredibly loving and affectionate, gets along well with dogs and is great with kids! She even gives you “hugs” when greeting you 🤗.

She is currently in foster care in Collegeville, PA and is doing well adjusting to living life inside the home - she hasn’t even had one accident in the home! Check out a cute video of her in the comments 🎥.
