Each year, March 13th is dedicated to National K-9 Veterans Day. 💜 🐾

It is a day for recognizing and honoring the service and sacrifices of military and working dogs. It marks the official birthday of the States K-9 Corps, which was established in 1942 for the first military dogs whom had served during World War II.💂🏼🐕👏🏻

It’s not something we like to think about, but there are a number of items in and around our homes that are poisonous to pets. With any potential dangers or toxins, it is important to keep them out of paws’ reach. While accidents can happen, the less accessible these items are, the less likely your pet is to get into them!

🐾💗🐱 Today is National ‘Answer Your Cat’s Question’ Day!!!🐱💗🐾

Cats can be quite the confusing creature!! One moment they are curling in your lap, then the next moment, they’d rather be left alone and not bothered. Despite their enigmatic behaviors, they have variety of cues to express their needs, desires and emotions.

So we ask, how well can you “read” your cat?? 😺

Since felines are notorious for hiding their health issues, this is why we recommend annual visits to monitor their health and catch any health conditions early!

Here are some tell-tale signs to look for in your cat that may require attention buy your veterinarian:
▫️hiding
▫️reduced activity
▫️changes in litter box habits
▫️hissing/spitting/vocalization/tail flicking
▫️stiff posture/gait
▫️lack of agility/jumping
▫️excessive licking/over grooming
▫️stops grooming/matted fur

This sweet girl needs a home.

A sweet 2 and a half year old female rescue laboratory research beagle, who goes by the name Olive, is looking for a forever home. She is up date with her vaccinations and is chipped.

Olive is a big fan of cuddles on the couch. Most of her days is consumed by naps but she thoroughly enjoys daily walks and is leash trained. Bathroom breaks are best done by leash, she responds well to being taken out with a walk. She’s been crate trained to sleep at night, and settles nicely. Olive will go in when prompted, so there’s no fuss from her.

Full disclosure, she is a laboratory beagle and with that comes tendencies to be territorial with dog food or any human food. Due to her history, families without pets are ideal. In addition, families with children are compatible. Olive loves all humans; small and large. Despite her past, Olive has the biggest heart you will meet. Her affection will melt you, be warned.
