Lessons are in full force at the farm!

Both have had over 20 years of professional riding training and went off to ride on the perspective college riding teams. Both have qualified for the USHJA National Hunt seat competition and placed on the top 10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are lucky to have them onsite as both horse and people trainers.

We have quality show horses and lesson horses.

We are excited to announce that Clara and Ryan will be providing lessons on the farm. Please message the page to set up lessons and we will contact you back with openings.

Lessons are $50 per lesson and last around 30-45 minutes.

Younger children pony rides are also available for a discount.

Offering both English and Western riding.

The New Ulm Sleepy Eye Youth Hockey Association Sq**rt B’s Hockey Minnesota Hockey Fights Cancer Day is today!

We start at Sleepy Eye at 12:00pm and then our big ceremony will be held tonight at New Ulm vs Worthington starting 6:00pm.

We are hoping everyone can attend! If you have a loved one you would like to have a poster made for-there is no fee, just message me their name and I’ll make sure one is put up. ❤️

Step 2 in protecting your farm-Security Cameras

Security cameras that record images and conversations are absolutely critical. Make sure they capture people entering and exiting. Make sure that you have them strategically placed around your farm to capture everything.

These recordings can be downloaded and used to protect yourself against folks who are dishonest, are on your farm doing things they shouldn’t be, or to just show the health of your horses if someone is trying to make a claim against you.

They are a great investment and can help to protect you. You can provide the videos to your lawyer if anything happens. You do NOT need to provide the password if you have it memorized, so do not write the password down anywhere. Keep it in your head.

Every horse owner should have a lawyer on retainer that will know how to protect your rights if what happened to us happens to you.

You can do everything right, but if you have to deal with unscrupulous people, you need to have a lawyer in your corner.

We recommend Keuttner Legal. He’s out of Mankato. And if you are in Minnesota, he knows how to deal with the unscrupulous folks that are doing the damage to horse owners.

If only we had known before that it was a requirement to protect your rights, we would have had him on retainer.

If you are looking for a kind and amazing farrier we are so lucky to have Ryan Hauth available to work on our horses along with Jesse Kettner.

Ryan was able to initially train with Jesse while he was in farrier school.

We are very grateful to these two men, all the work they’ve put into our horses to ensure top performance and healthy hooves!

Just a reminder: We require helmets for lessons because horses ARE unpredictable. Question any facility that is doing lessons as a “side job” and not one that’s had proper training in horsemanship or teaching riding, that allows children to ride without helmets, because that could mean they are not reading the latest on concussion and head injuries in children. Question any facility that doesn’t require proper riding boots.

Make sure you know the risks of doing such things, because a child taking ONE fall can cause lifetime effects without proper equipment being used or using properly trained horses.

We will be looking for Equestrians who would like to join the USEF/USHJA show team for 2023 show year.

Rider will need to have some Hunt seat or Jumper experience
Active USEF/USHJA membership for 2023 (and local affiliate memberships)
Be willing to travel with the show team
Own shown clothes and approved riding helmet

SEF will provide:
Discounted riding lessons
Horse ready to show at USEF levels
Support and travel to all approved horse shows

We want to offer this as an audition basis to place riders in appropriate divisions and look forward to traveling as a team this year!
