THIS is what a Service Dog in Training (SDiT) should look like!!! The holidays can be a hectic and stressful time when we try to include our dogs in all of our plans even if some of them make them uncomfortable.
It's easy to think of service dogs as pets who get to come with us wherever we want when that couldn't be further from the truth. Service dogs are medial equipment that help their owners in incredible ways! Service dogs are granted public access rights, meaning they are allowed in places where pets typically are not, such as restaurants, stores, and public transportation, as long as they are under control and not causing disruptions. A service dog must be well-behaved in public and should not bark, growl, or act aggressively.
A service dog is different from:
✨Pet dog
✨Emotional Support Animal (ESA)
✨Therapy Dog
Service dogs are not limited to certain breeds and undergo rigorous training to ensure they can perform their tasks reliably and behave appropriately in public.
Very very proud of this team and the hard work they keep putting in!
✨Quality time with my OG everything dog teacher. Old man Astro is up to do any and every exercise for some extra kibble✨
