*Update* I just heard from Bindi's family and thankfully she, after the drain tube removal, did not require a Tie-over bandage 🙌🏼. Her healing will still require more vet visits but fortunately with less invasive procedures. I would like to thank you all for your prayers and for those who helped donate to her veterinary expenses. Her family is so grateful for all the love and support you have shown. I personally feel so blessed to have gained such a caring family of "Aussie love" through our dogs and puppies from Red Creek Mini Aussies over the years. My warmest regards to you all... Tobey 😊
I feel compelled to share this message in hopes that maybe some can find it in their hearts to help in this situation. A few years ago I retired our Bindi to a wonderful family who'd already become a Red Creek Mini Aussie family member through welcoming a Bindi puppy into their home. Bindi lives an absolutely blessed life with this family and I receive regular updates from them showing how much she is loved.
Last week while out on a walk with Bindi and another of their dogs they were attacked by strangers dog. Both Bindi and Dixie suffered wounds requiring medical attention and though Dixie only required stitches on her legs, Bindi required much more invasive treatment as her injuries are substantial around her head and neck. The owner of the dog that attacked Bindi and Dixie fled the scene and has not been located. Bindis Veterinary bills are growing quickly (currently $2300)and she next requires a Tie-over bandage once her drain tube is removed. Her family reached out to me to share what has happened and asked for prayers and hesitantly for financial help assist in Bindi's healing. Even though Bindi is in the midst of what I imagine is terribly uncomfortable healing her owners explain she is in "true loving Bindi spirits"! This situation obviously blindsided them. If you feel drawn to help it would be so greatly appreciated. I am attaching their Cash app and Venmo to the post with their permission . If all you can spare are prayers 🙏, we'll sure take any and all of those as well. I am posting some photos of her injuries as well but refraining from posting all as they are very graphic.
