BTH Equestrian Enterprises has been established to provide a positive, progressive environment for the development of sport horses and riders of all ages and abilities. There is a strong emphasis on correct ground work and flat work as a foundation for training the competitive sport horse regardless of discipline. Classical horsemanship is the foundation of BTH Equestrian’s training philosophy and
is implemented in everything that we do. Horses learn ground manners, how to clip, tie, bathe, trailer, and stand quietly for the farrier and vet as well as under saddle work. Each horse’s mental and emotional needs are met first, while physical development and career goals are secondary. Horses are given flexible yet progressive training regimens that encourage young and troubled horses to become confident, quiet, and willing partners. We also teach owners how to ride their own horses through correct equitation and effectiveness of the aids. From developing young riders on their first pony to amateurs looking for help with a difficult or troubled horse, BTH Equestrians can accommodate a wide variety of clients needs. Correct riding, a foundation of trust, and a true understanding of being "with" your horse can lead to years of happy and successful trips on the trail or in the show arena. Strong equitation skills, good timing, and a soft feel are universal and will ultimately produce quality riding which leads to success in any ring.
