Did you know March is Pet Poison Prevention Month? At Countryside we often get phone calls about pets that get a little too curious about kitchen counters and end up eating something they shouldn't. And let's be honest, sometimes we overshare our meals with our pets tooπ. Here's a short list of a very long list of things that are toxic to our pets!
*Chocolate (Especially Dark), *Grapes/Raisins, *Onions, *Garlic, *Xylitol (In things like sugar free gum), *Nuts, *Raw Dough
*Tylenol, *Ibuprofen, *Cold Medicine, *Antifreeze, *Fertilizers, *Lilies, *Daffodils, *Tulips
Many pets will recover just fine if only a small amount of a toxic substance is ingested. Remember to keep peroxide (and our number!) on hand should you find your pet with something in their mouth that they shouldn't have. Happy Friday everyone!
