We were in the ribbons this weekend at the 5 days of dog shows in New Castle PA.

Issy (Leaping Dog's You Make Me Dissy Miss Issy NA I JH) got 2 majors toward her championship which I had never even dreamed could happen.

Boot (Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin' Boogie NA II JH) got his Championship pending AKC approval.

We have been doing some pheasant hunting in between holidays. Here is Duck who we plan on breeding in the next 2 weeks. We took Issy Duck's 18 month old puppy from her 1st litter with us.

Wet weather did not hamper this group at their NAVHDA Natural Ability test on Sunday. A huge hug and thanks to Marcia Hoff for running Boot and Bo for handling Issy. They both have their basic hunt tests completed. Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin' Boogie JH NA II and Leaping Dog's You Make Me Dissy Miss Issy JH NA I.

Great news today about our Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin'Boogie JH. He is not just a hunter but a pretty face too! Showsight Magazine released their All Breed standings (sporting dog) and Boot was number 12. He just turned 13 months and only started showing in March. A sweet but wild kind of guy!

Boot has been climbing fences since he was 5 weeks old. We tried him in the kennel when he was about 8 months old. Both he and Issy ended up in someone else's kennel stall. Boot 2 kennels away. So today we just put him in an empty stall.. Look what I found an hour later!

Everyone got points in the show ring Friday. Duck won the Breed, Boot was Best of Opposite and Best of Winners while Issy was Winner's Bitch. I had to get some help to take them in the ring after I took the puppies in for Bred By Exhibitor, and my helpers out did me!!

The 2 Terrorists Boot and Issy finished their AKC Junior Hunter titles over the weekend in the pouring down rain. They are now Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin' Boogie JH and Leaping Dog's You Make Me Dissy Miss Issy JH. Last Thursday and Friday we did shows in Morgantown WV adding some championship points and lots of ribbons to the collection. The Pictures are from their show in VA several weeks ago where Boot had both a Group Placement and an Owner Handler Group placement and Issy was Best of Winners. The ribbons are all the loot from last week!

We are really enjoying these 2 puppies who are 9.5 months old. They are keeping us young!

Last week the pups did their first dog show followed by hunt tests. They did well and got tons of ribbons and hunting prizes. My goal for Boot was not to whine in his crate at the show setup. He was perfect. Both came during the hunt tests every time they were called. Each passed 1 leg ofJunior Hunter. We still have work to do to fix jumping on people and wanting to play with our brace mates while we should be hunting!

Leaping Dog's You Make Me Dissy Miss Issy got her first leg of Junior Hunter today at the AKC Hunt tests which were part of the AWPGA REGIONAL SPECIALTY in Wellsville PA.

Getting ready for the York Celtic Classic shows and hunt tests in mid March. They started with serious bird training this week. They are also taking conformation classes once or twice a week. Hard to believe they were 7 months old on Sunday. Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin' Boogie or simply Boot. Leaping Dog's You Make Me Dissy Miss Issy.

Our almost 7 month old puppy from the summer 2022 litter. Leaping Dog's Boot Scootin' Boogie aka Boot. He was such a handful from 2 weeks so I wanted just the perfect home. He found it with us and has been a model dog once he got his way and stayed with Momma and Daddy! We are definitely suckers!

It was a hard decision but we kept 2 puppies out of the July litter. (As a breeder I would never sell 2 out of the same litter to anyone). They are a lot of work but are coming along nicely. We seperate often and only allow them play time together a few times a day even though they are crated next to each other. Potty training is progressing as we learn their habits. GRIFFS ARE ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DOGS TO HOUSE BREAK YOU HAVE EVER KNOWN IN YOUR LIFETIME! After almost 5 months we are really happy about our decision.

We held a few puppies back this time to decide who would work best in our kennel. Our pick boy is now available. We call him Spike. He is already birdie and has great conformation for the show ring too. He is a flashy little boy at 10 weeks old today.

A 5 day Dog show that has been a lot of fun being with friends. Grolsch has continued to rock winning Best of Breed Owner Handler everyday. He finished his Championship on Thursday! I am thankfull for every win and all the support. My friend Vicky Foster also groomed Daisy (11) in a French Cut which will be so much easier in the field. Leaping Dog's Grolsch TwoTypes of Hops JH NA II won big today in York PA taking Winner's Dog, Best of Winner's, Owner Handler Best of Breed, and Best of Breed. He dearly loves to strut his stuff!
