🌟 Mia Farley and Invictus, owned by Karen O’Connor, took the lead in the B&D Builders CCI4*-L at The Event at TerraNova Equestrian Center at the completion of the dressage phase with 27.9 penalties, followed by Olivia Dutton on Sea of Clouds (29.5). Overnight leader Lauren Nicholson is now in 3rd place with Jacqueline Mars’ Larcot Z (30.4).

VITAMINS IN HAY AND HAYLAGE?

Assume no vitamin A (betacarotene) or vitamin E intake from conserved forage e.g. hay or haylage.

This came up from a question about whether or not soaking leaches vitamins. The answer is that it's irrelevant since there is very little if any vitamin (A or E) activity left in hay anyway.

For mainly hay or haylage diets, supplement these essential vitamins with an appropriate product such as a compound feed, balancer (concentrated compound) or multi-vitamin and mineral supplement (depending on the protein and energy needs of your horse or pony).

ekt.eventing._ Eva Taylor is a freshman at the University of Kentucky studying Nursing. She is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana where she found her love for horses at a local barn. Eva is an active member of the UK Eventing Team with her Irish Sport Horse, Irish Rose. She trains with Maddy Tempkin at Double B Farms and currently competes at the modified/ CCI 1* level with “Hank”. Eva and Hank have been a team for 3 years now.

Lexington native Emma Hilt is in her last year of being a Wildcat. Emma is a Nursing Student and currently works part time as a tech in the Neonatal ICU at Central Baptist. She and her Off the Track Thoroughbred, The Blues Man, have been partnered for 9 years and they have competed to the Prelim level. Emma and “Johnny” ride at Valley View Farm with Allie Knowles.

Tate Northrop is a sophomore at UK. She is a nursing major and a business minor. Tate grew up in Louisville but has since moved both her horses to Lexington. Tate just recently completed her first 3* on her horse Harry.
