The Veterinary shortage is making finding care very difficult these days. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CALL AHEAD TO THESE FACILITIES. WAITS CAN BE 6+ HOURS.

Due to a severe shortage of emergency veterinarians and technicians, The COVE is temporarily changing its ER hours August 11-October 30.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that the COVE's ER will be closed on weekends starting at 3:00pm on Fridays -Mondays at 7:00am.

If we are not able to accommodate, here are a few trusted local resources that may be able to help. Hours listed are from their websites and are subject to change; please call prior to referral.

Due to a veterinarian shortage, beginning Thursday, May 4th, 2023 through Monday, May 8th, 2023, The COVE is open for Urgent Care only from 7:00 am-7:00 pm.

We will resume normal 24/7 emergency care operations at 7:00 am on Monday, May 8th, 2023.

We are looking for one or two new members for our work family. Full or part time animal care/kennel attendant. This job does require weekend and holiday shifts, but the hours on those days are short. Pay is hourly plus paid time off for full or part time, and pet care

We will be open with limited staff starting Thursday, February 18th. Please be mindful of our limited staff and appointments as we have some valued staff out on quarantine. Yes, we are open! To keep our clients and our staff as safe as possible, we ask that you follow these guidelines if possible.

1. If you are sick or if you are immuno-compromised, please call us upon arrival so that we may meet you at your car and limit your exposure.
2. We ask that all clients check in (by phone or in person). You may then be asked to wait in your car briefly. We want to es**rt you and your pet directly to the exam room and avoid waiting in the waiting area.
3. Please try to limit the number of family members present if at all possible.
4. If you need medicine refilled, please call ahead if possible. This helps alleviate a crowded waiting area as well.
5. We will try to avoid handshakes and hugs if we can break the habits!
