We're Hiring!

We are looking for full time barn help for the mornings and afternoons.

Duties Include:
- Feeding (Horses gotta eat)
- Turnout/Turn in (they need their outside and alone time)
- Mucking stalls (we all know they're gonna p**p)
- Prepping Grain (making it easier on your coworkers)
- Fly Spray/ Blanketing (the flies are brutal this year and it should get cold at some point)
- Filling hay bags (they all like it)
- Getting horses for vet/farrier (mani/pedis and check ups)
- Running water/ cleaning water troughs (some play in it....others keep drinking and don't stop to breathe)

What we require:
- Reliability and consistency (we work a tight schedule for the benefit of the horses and boarders)
- Team player (we work in teams so that not one person is left to do it all)
- Hard worker (some days are harder than others, it gets hot and cold but the horses rely on you to take care of them no matter what its like outside)
- Honesty (If you forget something...own it and learn from it. mistakes do happen)
- Coachable (not everyone knows everything....be willing to learn)

What we provide:
- A fair wage depending upon your experience (salary, hourly, W-2 or 1099? We will make it work for the right person)
- A family of employees and boarders that will always be there for you (the majority of our employees and boarders have been here since we opened in 2020)
- A laid back barn atmosphere (horses come first, people second)
- Time off (everyone needs it...we can discuss more during interviews)

And that’s a wrap for Sedgefield in the park. Day 2 was another scorcher but everyone pushed through the heat and made it a great end to a long weekend. Congratulations to all the horses and riders for a fantastic show! None of it could’ve happened without the guidance of Antonia Hall, thank you for all that you do!
