Though this winter season may be frigid ❄️ we are warm from success! Rynni Ayer's West Palm and WCWC, LLC's Henrico had great results at the Lexington Country I Horse Show!

Henri received competitive honors in the 3' Greens 💛

West received good ribbons including a 🏆 in the VHC Hunter U/S and with Rynni, made her 3'3 Jr Debut, bringing home top honors including 🥈 in the Hamel and 🥉 in the Handy. Way to go!

Thank you to all of our students, customers, staff, family, and friends for celebrating the holiday season with us, as well as Yvette Hume for judging.

It was a chilly but bright day ❄️🌞 and our barn family closed out the festivities with the annual Christmas Party and White Elephant Gift Exchange at The Cockeyed Rooster Cafe, which is always a highlight of the year!

We had a festive and fun time The Barracks Horse Shows 🎄🎁 thank you to everyone who works so hard to make this show so beautiful and welcoming

Sydney Price's Hollywood received top ribbons in the Low Adults including 🥈 in the Low Child/Adult Classic! Hector also received good ribbons in the Green Hunters earlier in the week ❄️

Kelly Kiser's For Fantom's Pleasure won the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal, were 4th in the 1.0m Jumper Stake, and finished 3rd in the VHSA Jr Eq Flat ☃️

Our Winter Schooling Series kicks off on Saturday, December 21st, featuring the popular Most Festive Outfit and Ugly Christmas Sweater competitions 🎄🌟

Lelia Torresin welcomed "Frosty" to the family and we could not be more excited for her! Thank you Kasey Evans for setting us up with this sweet young horse.

We would also like to congratulate the Ayers family on the sale of Cashmere. Cash has been a special part of the family and we are all looking forward to seeing everything he and his rider accomplish!

We had a great time capping off the year at VHSA Associate Finals 🎃 though some are missing from photos, everyone rode well and enjoyed participating in the tack stall decorating contest 👻, trick or treating 🍭, and the beautiful weather all week.

🦊 Andromeda won both trips of the Green Hunters to earn 🏆 🥇 and was great with Michaela in the 2'6 Children's

🦊 Kelly Kiser and Ledinjadon Dreamcatcher earned the top honor in the Sm/Med Ponies, as well as Reserve Champion in the VPBA 🏆 Kelly also had the ride on Mallory Francis's Smallwood Abracadabra, earning multiple ribbons in the Large Ponies, Pony Pleasure, and won their 14&U Eq Flat section

🦊 Hollywood 🎬 earned great ribbons in the Green Hunters as well as with Sydney in the 2'6 Adults. It was great to have Sydney visit for the weekend from her busy college life at Lynchburg!

🦊 Caroline Polson and Hooligan's Circus got great experience in the 2' Special Hunters, including 🥇the 2' Equitation Flat, and were 🥉in their section of the 14&U Eq Flat

🦊 Foxtail Farm's Vintage and Sara Padilla had good experience in the 2'6 Special Hunters at their third away show together

🦊 West Palm and Rynni Ayers had good trips in the Working Hunters and a top finish in the under saddle, after Rynni spoke on her fondness of the Virginia Horse Center Foundation during the the Spirit of Virginia Award presentation 👏

🦊 Lelia Torresin and Her Highness were Reserve Champion of 10-12yo Short Stirrup! Lelia has learned so much from queen Bailey and is excited to apply those skills to her new partner - stay tuned! ✨️

🦊 Addison McCall and Overzealous joined us away overnight for the first time, finishing with top results in the Large Green Ponies

🦊 Reese Mazur and Zinnia, owned by Foxtail Farm, joined for their first time away overnight as well and had a fun experience learning about overnight horse showing

🦊 WCWC, LLCs young horse Henrico was excellent for his first time indoors ever, receiving top ribbons in the Green Hunters over fences and under saddle. Contact us if you are looking for a top Jr/AO prospect 🌟

Thank you to everyone at home for keeping things going while we were away with such a large group, and to the students, horses, and families for such a great week; especially to Susan Kaplan for providing the tack stall decorations that we all enjoyed so much.

Horses and riders are enjoying rest for November before we begin the 2025 season the the December Barracks 🎄

West Palm and Rynni Ayers were stellar at the WIHS Regional and USHJA Zone 3 Championship, earning top ribbons in the 15-17 Children's and 15-17 Children's final. Congratulations on a job well done! 👏🌴🦄

We had so much fun at the NC State Fair Horse Show! 🎇 Thank you to all the staff at the show for a great time.

🦊 Taylor Potts and Hemingway received top ribbons in the Short Stirrup, including a blue in Short Stirrup Eq on the Flat. Hemingway also received top ribbons in the 2' State Fair Hunters ✨️

🦊 Rynni Ayers and West Palm were great in the 15-17 Children's especially with their 2nd in the under saddle. West also received good ribbons in the 3'/3'3" Raleigh Hunter 🌴

🦊 Caroline Polson and Hooligan's Circus received great ribbons in the Long Stirrup!

🦊 Michaela Boutknight and Andromeda received great ribbons in the Low Childrens, and were 10th in the Low Child/ Adult Hunter Derby! Andi also earned great results in the 2'6 Special Hunters 💖

🦊 Kelly Kiser and Vivaldi were great in the 14 & U Childrens, ending with good ribbons in a competitive group 👏

🦊 Sydney Price's Hollywood was great in the 2'9 Raleigh and Triangle Hunters with good ribbons over fences and 🏆 the Triangle U/S 🎬

🦊 WCWC, LLC's young horse Henrico continues to impress at his second rated horse show in the US! We are excited for this special horse and his future 🙌

Catching up on some fall fun, we welcomed the CNU Equestrian Team Captains back for their third season at the farm. Their season openers quickly followed suit, starting at William & Mary, and then hosting the CNU Show the next day.

Team members saw great results at both shows and had a strong start to the season, fundraised with their own concessions, and turned out the horses in top notch form ✨️

Looking back on Labor Day Weekend, Rynni Ayers and West Palm had great success receiving multiple top honors in the Children's Hunters, as well as West finishing 10th in the $5,000 Toyota/ Miller Warrenton Classic 🇺🇸

Warrenton Horse Show Association is such a special venue that we enjoy supporting each year. Congratulations Rynni and West! 🎉

Lexington National was a big week for our crew - catch up on results below!

Sydney Price's Hollywood had great trips earlier in the week and top ribbons over the weekend, including 🥇 the Low Adult Eq Flat and 🥈 Low Adult Eq O/F. Sydney departed for her freshman year at Lynchburg University this week and while we will miss her in the barn, we are looking forward to seeing all that she does and having her meet up with us at horse shows to come! Good luck, Sydney!

Rynni Ayers and West Palm 🌴 had a big week with success in the 15-17 Children's Hunters, including 5th in the WIHS/NAL Children's Classic and the THIS Medal. The pair also contested and finished 11th!

Catherine Cary and Arendelle had great Pro/Non-pro trips and a good (late night!) experience in the VHSA/ EMO Children's Medal Final 🌟

Kelly Kiser had a big equitation finals weekend where she was graciously able to borrow Sulu Rose-Reed's Rich Girl to earn 3rd in the VHSA Jr Eq Flat Final and was also 7th in the horsemanship final. Her longtime partner For Fantom's Pleasure had a great round in the AYR Equitation Challenge to earn 4th 🤍

This team plus more had a great time at Rosemount Summer ☀️ enjoying the beautiful weather and lovely horse show!

🦊 Kelly debuted in the the VHSA Medal and 🥇 her first time out, in addition to a 6th place finish in the Zone 3 L.M. Sandy Gerald Equitation Final

🦊 Emily Abu-Absi and Reed Training and Sales' Fortitude celebrated Emily starting her freshman year at Randolph Macon in style with great ribbons in the Low Childrens 🐝

🦊 Caroline Polson and her Hooligan's Circus received good ribbons in the 2' Rosemount Hunter and Beginner Hunter!

🦊 Ellie Smith and DSU Equestrian's This End Up got into the show ring with good trips in the Low Adults. We have been so lucky to have Tilly shared with us for the summer 💖

🦊 Alex Gendreau and Michaela Bouknight's Andromeda got Alex back into the Low Adult ring with great ribbons!

🦊 Rynni Ayers and West Palm received good scores and ribbons in the 15-17 Children's Hunters and Children's Hunter Classic 👏

🦊 WCWC, LLCs sweet young horse Henrico attended his first horse show in the US 🇺🇸 and we are looking forward to his future!

Whew, what a week! Not only did our regular crew have a successful time at HITS Culpeper last week, but we welcomed many first-time "A" show participants.

We also celebrated Kelly, Taylor, and Caroline's birthdays with our favorite four-legged friends thanks to the beautiful braiding work and cute charms from the talented Scottie 🎂🥳

The Advanced Summer Camp week is always a highlight as we get to focus on the ins and outs of showing and preparing generations of educated riders for the future 🙌 🦊
