Nothing wasted! Rendering down more tallow, you scrap the bottom of cooled tallow to remove any impurities, then repeat the process. Any scrapings are made into little balls to be added to the dogs next meal!

The not so fun part of cattle. Pink eye is usually transmitted by flys or direct contact. This cow is getting a small dose of antibiotics in her eye lid. This will cause her eye lid to swell some and close. This is a good thing as the eye is sensitive to light in this state so it will help it heal quicker not being exposed to sunlight. The rest of her dose is given subcutaneously in the neck.

It’s Small business Saturday! Whipped Tallow or soap!
Starting to get a healthy collection of soap! It’s $7 a bar for 1-4 or $6 for 5+
Soap needs to cure for 6 weeks to allow the water to evaporate and the soap to harden. Theses soaps are under the 6 week mark so I will put a Wait to Use date on them (they are safe to use now but you will use up the bar faster)
These are hand made and cut so bar weights vary slightly, cut to approximately 1.25”
Scents available
Well Balanced:blue, green silver and cream
Serene & Still: purple, cream and gold
Heads up: red, silver and cream
Dreamland: blue and silver/cream
Eucalyptus: green and cream
Citrus boost: orange and cream (will cut tonight)

Let me know if you want a list of ingredients or essential oils used, most are made with goats milk. I can also custom make a scent or color just let me know.
I’ll be adding to our website hopefully this weekend!

We got the necropsy results back on Rootbeers sweet c**t.
Pathology Summary
The cause of abortion in this case is undetermined. No inflammatory changes are present in the placenta, or examined
tissues of the fetus. Edema within the placenta is not specific for any particular etiology. PCR for Equine Herpesvirus 1
&4, performed on amnionic fluid (taken from the stomach) was negative. Based on the lack of lesions I favor a non-
infectious cause of abortion.
Histopathologic Findings
There is moderate edema in the placenta. Within the limits of severe postmortem decomposition, no lesions are observed
in sections of esophagus, stomach, intestine, thyroid glands, adrenal glands, liver, heart, skeletal muscle, lungs, trachea,
lymph nodes, spleen, and brain

So nothing contagious that caused it, its just one of those things that happen unfortunately.

Puppy Update! “Hey there! So far so good. We had her first vet appointment yesterday and are set up with a really good trainer here in Billings! She’s also doing super well with crate training despite taking naps everywhere lol”

This litter is doing so good on learning some patience and impulse control. Puppies like to jump for attentions but we can teach them to sit instead of jumping by rewarding when they choose to sit.
