C&C Ranch

C&C Ranch Meet our dog family! We have 3 Australian Shepherds and 2 Australian Shepherd/Border collie cross. Kyro, our oldest dog, is extremely loyal to Wade.
(10)

Kyro and Hobbs had their first litter together, out of which we kept a female puppy and named her Ella. At a young age Ella showed interest in livestock, so she was trained to help work the cattle at our ranch. In February 2016 we brought Duke into the family. He was a 1.5 years old when we got him and very little had been done with him. He is now a social, fun loving, ball fetching stud! A little

bit more about our dogs:
Kyro (born in 2008): is 3/4 Border Collie 1/4 Australian Shepherd. Her lineage was all natural herding stock dogs that performed well on farms and ranches. In her younger years she loved to help out with the livestock, but after a few encounters with some protective mother cows has decided to be a fiercely loyal companion dog. She still loves to join us out on the farm, just not herd the cows. She can catch mice, pull kids around in a wagon or sled and loves her belly rubbed. Hobbs: is full Border Collie, however a family member owns him. I only mention him because he is Ella's dad. He is amazing at working livestock and comes from a long lineage of working dogs. Ella (born in 2013): is 7/8 Border Collie 1/8 Australian Shepherd. She is a great family dog, gentle with kids yet aggressive when working cattle. She can pull kids in a sled or wagon, climb trees, herd cattle and jump over/on almost anything that I ask her to. Duke (born in 2015): ASCA Registered full blooded Australian Shepherd. He has come a long way since we got him. He loves truck rides, playing fetch and tagging along on any adventure. He is learning how to pull the sled/wagon. Although Duke does not work cattle, I believe if he was conditioned as a puppy he would have. His puppies have shown interest in livestock. DUKE IS AVAILABLE AS A BREEDING STUD

These are high energy dogs and do not do well contained in small areas like apartments for long lengths of time (in fact they become destructive if they are not active and allowed to think). They need daily exercise and teaching them to play fetch is a great way to burn off some of that energy. They are extremely intelligent and easy to train, in fact they are among the smartest breed of dogs today. If you put the time into working with them you will not be disappointed on how quickly they learn. These are herding dogs but also great family dogs. They would make wonderful companions for active people. We are NOT a professional breeding kennel aimed at cranking out multiple litters per year. We have done 1 litter per year from each female (we have 2 females but we will stop having 1 of them bred due to her age). All of our dogs are sound, healthy animals with regular medical checkups and proper care on a daily basis. Call, text, email or pm if you are interested in breeding your dog to Duke or in one of our litters

Great program supporting an incredible girl! If you can’t make it, feel free to donate if you’d like

The 4H kids are hosting a Service Project for Des and her service dog Snoopy. Snoopy isn't too keen on using his super awesome Service harness so the kids are fundraising to buy Service dog collars and leashes and a few other things.

Come run your dog in two different agility courses. Minimum donation is $10. It'll be a fun night, all levels of ability are welcome. If you have never done it before, let a 4H handler help you wit your dog. They'll teach you what to do!

We hope to see you there!

Hey everyone! We will be making some changes to our social media pages. It’s getting too complicated and time consuming to keep up with our different pages: C&C Ranch, C&C Riding and C&C Stock dogs. So I will be combinding the pages into just C&C Ranch. It will still have the dogs, cows and horse post but it will be in one location. We are NOT disloving C&C Riding or C&C Stock Dog business names, just for social media it will all be included under the ranch name. The website will still be broken into the different services offered. www.campbellsranch.com

This is great to know and start learning to read your dog. The main reason we keep tails is to allow the dogs to communicate with us better. Watch and read your dogs signal, they will tell you when they are in a situation above what they are capable of handling.

This is why we can’t have nice things 😂 If you haven’t guessed already what this lovely neon accessory is West has on, it is the latest fashion! The one and only, custom made shredded fly trap! Yes he discovered the roll of fly tape we have had hanging in the same spot for 5 years (it’s a roll so you tear and pull out more). Apparently it’s fun to be covered in sticky dead flys…. Guess we are adding bath time to todays chores!

We are hitting some hard times with our horses with the passing of one and a second showing some colic symptoms they are requiring my full attention. I would love for this guy to find him home and keep up with his training. He is 12 weeks old three rounds of vaccinations, microchipped and more. We have done lots of exposure training with him including cows, calves, ducks, chickens, rabbits, children, horses and new people and places. Will make a good deal if he finds his home this weekend.

Don’t miss out on this incredible boy! He loves to explore, gets along great with older dogs and little kids but don’t forget belly rubs are his favorite!
He did great around the cows, is doing really well with leash training and is comfortable in a crate.

Whiskey got to accompany me while I got a little work done, lucky me my office is an old store house with a covered porch. She loved her one on one time. She has her appointment tomorrow to get spayed. Time to get groomed and set up her recovery area!

Look at this face and beautiful tail! Huckleberry loves playing with the big dogs. He is gentle around the ducks and is learning not to jump on people, he even sat in front of our 18 month old to get pet (doesn’t happen every time, but he is starting to figure it out!) Favorite it belly rubs and playing with toys. He will make someone an amazing dog!

No fault of his own, family things came up. Huckleberry is looking for his humans to grow up with.

West is recovering nicely, he back to running and doing stairs. I’m still making sure he’s not overdoing it. He had such a blast exploring the cow pasture. We have some water damage that took out a fence by the river but over all not bad. Another storm rolled in and gave us a beautiful rainbow!

Congratulations everyone that has a puppy from Whiskey and Dukes last litter! Everyone has been placed. We can’t wait to see them grow and thrive in their new homes!
