C&C Ranch

C&C Ranch Meet our dog family! We have 3 Australian Shepherds and 2 Australian Shepherd/Border collie cross. Kyro, our oldest dog, is extremely loyal to Wade.
(10)

Kyro and Hobbs had their first litter together, out of which we kept a female puppy and named her Ella. At a young age Ella showed interest in livestock, so she was trained to help work the cattle at our ranch. In February 2016 we brought Duke into the family. He was a 1.5 years old when we got him and very little had been done with him. He is now a social, fun loving, ball fetching stud! A little

bit more about our dogs:
Kyro (born in 2008): is 3/4 Border Collie 1/4 Australian Shepherd. Her lineage was all natural herding stock dogs that performed well on farms and ranches. In her younger years she loved to help out with the livestock, but after a few encounters with some protective mother cows has decided to be a fiercely loyal companion dog. She still loves to join us out on the farm, just not herd the cows. She can catch mice, pull kids around in a wagon or sled and loves her belly rubbed. Hobbs: is full Border Collie, however a family member owns him. I only mention him because he is Ella's dad. He is amazing at working livestock and comes from a long lineage of working dogs. Ella (born in 2013): is 7/8 Border Collie 1/8 Australian Shepherd. She is a great family dog, gentle with kids yet aggressive when working cattle. She can pull kids in a sled or wagon, climb trees, herd cattle and jump over/on almost anything that I ask her to. Duke (born in 2015): ASCA Registered full blooded Australian Shepherd. He has come a long way since we got him. He loves truck rides, playing fetch and tagging along on any adventure. He is learning how to pull the sled/wagon. Although Duke does not work cattle, I believe if he was conditioned as a puppy he would have. His puppies have shown interest in livestock. DUKE IS AVAILABLE AS A BREEDING STUD

These are high energy dogs and do not do well contained in small areas like apartments for long lengths of time (in fact they become destructive if they are not active and allowed to think). They need daily exercise and teaching them to play fetch is a great way to burn off some of that energy. They are extremely intelligent and easy to train, in fact they are among the smartest breed of dogs today. If you put the time into working with them you will not be disappointed on how quickly they learn. These are herding dogs but also great family dogs. They would make wonderful companions for active people. We are NOT a professional breeding kennel aimed at cranking out multiple litters per year. We have done 1 litter per year from each female (we have 2 females but we will stop having 1 of them bred due to her age). All of our dogs are sound, healthy animals with regular medical checkups and proper care on a daily basis. Call, text, email or pm if you are interested in breeding your dog to Duke or in one of our litters
