Spent the afternoon helping out Daniel on his farm! Wormed Sherman & Lily, cleaned them up a little & spent a little time bonding with Lily before we began work on what’s going to be the future site of Daniel’s corral so we can really begin working the horses the way they need to be. Super excited to see the finished result!

Another great morning spent out at Wyldeacre Farmstead with John, Charlen, Jager & Beauty! Skye tagged along this weekend with me too!

Mr. Jager joined up with not only his owner, John, but myself & Skye as well! We spent a lot of time mounting & dismounting to reinforce learning to stand still for mounting.

Beauty had a nice light ride as well!

Awesome lesson day with Glade! We went on a small hack down the backroads & back through the woods then finished up with a few short exercises to work on posting & keeping our feet underneath us better when trotting!

We had an amazing lesson day with Boone & Link on Saturday, they doubled down this week so we had a twice as long lesson (water & rest breaks in between of course)! We worked on trotting, learning the barrel pattern better & at the end we played the stick game (similar to flags when showing) to work on learning how to maneuver our horses to obstacles. We had so much fun!!

Giving a huge welcome to Kyle & Peyton - the newest riders here at Eowyn! As usual the first lesson is all about just getting comfortable & confident with our equine companions & these 2 done great! They even helped me put hoof polish on everyone before they left!

It was a bittersweet lesson with Rose on Monday, we had an amazing lesson & she done SOOOO good - but it’ll be her last lesson until next summer. We’re gonna miss you sweet girl! Have fun with ballet & tapdance! 🖤

Glade had back to back lessons this day & joined in on the group lesson with Jaden! We worked on building our leg muscles needed for posting & being in a 2 point stance. Lots of trotting.

Also! Look who joined in on his first lesson! I supervised the lesson from on top of Tobi, we even joined in on a few exercises!

A beautiful Sunday morning out at Wyldeacre Farmstead! We made HUGE headway with Jager using the round pen that John & Charlene put together for him & practicing the join up method. Jager works off trust more than just about any other horse I’ve ever met, he completely shuts down if he doesn’t trust you. This day was one of the best sessions I’ve had on this sweet boy, & he stood so good for mounting compared to normal! Love him! 🖤

For our teen group lesson with Jaden & Skye today we mixed things up, instead of our normal routine we done some independent riding.

I took the pressure off of them by just sitting back & watching how they ride on their own with no expectations. This gives them the opportunity to relax more, bond with their equine partners & overall become more confident in themselves & their abilities. It gives me the chance to see what needs work in our next lesson when they’re not focused on perfecting themselves for me.

These girls had an absolute blast today. Jaden opened Dora up for the first time today & I was so proud of her balance & seat at a gallop! She done so good!!

Instead of a lesson, we had a photo shoot for this beautiful little future cowgirl, Elien, for her big 8th birthday that’s coming up!
Sage definitely understood the assignment & even gave her a short birthday ride around the arena after photos! 🖤

Today we got the opportunity to work with a new client & his wonderful horses! Today we focused on Lily, a gorgeous Belgian cross mare. She’s had some previous training, today was all about building trust to build on & see just how much she knows or doesn’t know. Overall I was incredibly impressed with how intelligent this young mare is. 🖤

Atume over at Arabian Rescue Mission, Inc. today was a super big fan of the sleekez brush & was getting all the good spots scratched!
