I'll be in the barn.
When people have come to visit over the years
they commonly hear from me "I'll be in the barn."
When life gets hard I'll be in the barn.
When things are just right I'll be in the barn.
When the sun shines
The rain falls
Or snow covers the ground
I'll be in the barn.
If things seem to be falling apart or if I'm
celebrating the simple things, I'll be in the barn.
When I'm looking for answers or trying to clear my mind, I'll be in the barn.
When I'm looking for myself, I'll be in the barn.
If I'm working or trying to relax, I'll be in the barn.
Even when I'm not in the barn my mind drifts there, I find myself thinking about being in the barn...
It's where I keep my riches
All my wins and my failures
Every one of my hopes, dreams, hardships and
memories.
You can find them all in the barn, buried in the hay, hiding under a halter, spilling out of the feed bins,or glimmering with dust in the evening light.
I may be covered in dust, dirt, feed, hair, and hay, smell of sweat and manure, and sometimes there may be blood or tears but I'll be there. I'll be in the barn.
So if your wondering where to find me, I'll be in the barn. If I'm not there I promise I'm on my way.

Are your horses out being horses on this rainy day? Ours are! And they’re happy! All started out at the round bale feeders then made their way with their herd out to pasture!
Don’t just say it- Let them be horses!

Matty Farms Horse Boarding will have a couple openings -
*Location- Smithton, very convenient- 10 miles from New Stanton Turn Pike, 5 miles from Route 51, only one mile off Route 70
*Private farms- peaceful and quiet
*Lots of pastured turnout- rotational pastures, nighttime turnout in summer, daytime turnout in winter
*Stalls and barns cleaned daily
*We grow all of our own quality hay
*Unlimited round bales fed during winter time turnout, square bales fed in stalls
*Fresh spring water in pasture fields from developed springs into concrete water troughs, they never freeze and never dry up
*White plastic coated electric fence
*Wash stall with hot & cold water
*Heated feed room and bathroom
*Indoor arena 50x100
*Outdoor arena 120x160
*Many privately owned trails
*Individual full size tack lockers
*ADT Security System
*Supplements fed upon request
*Individual custom feed program

Full board using barns sweet feed
$360 per month
Full board using your own feed
$335 per month

Since all of the Matty Farms kitties have always had Halloween themed names, this month is a good time to give them some recognition!

Our barn kitties are very much a part of our barn family!

Meet Wednesday- She was an isolated kitty that lived on my parents porch and basically only let them see her. She was scared of anyone else. But boy has she changed with her new life! She loves her new barn life and all the attention she gets from everyone here! She transitioned so well and is a real favorite around the barn!

Since all of the Matty Farms kitties have always had Halloween themed names, this month is a good time to give them some recognition!

Our barn kitties are very much a part of our barn family!

Meet Winifred - Winnie for short- She was a stray that just turned up out of the blue and didn’t have much use for people! Once I realized she wasn’t leaving, off she went to the vet to be spayed. She has earned the nicknames of Demon and Psycho but I love her! And so does the rest of the barn family- and now call her Demon and Psycho a lot more lovingly, lol! She’s little but doesn’t take any sh*t! She’s come such a long way and has really learned to trust us!

Since all of the Matty Farms kitties have always had Halloween themed names, this month is a good time to give them some recognition!

Our barn kitties are very much a part of our barn family!

Meet Candy! He’s also about 13 years old and brother to Pumpkin! They are best buddies and still play and wrestle on occasion! Candy is a people lover and so so sweet! In his younger years he was known to follow along on many trail rides around the farm!

Jennie found Pumpkin and Candy as kittens and hid them in my basement until I found them! They were relocated to the barn!
