Isolated in the Indian Ocean for millions of years, the island of Madagascar is home to many native plants and wildlife found nowhere else in the world. But, human habitation and slash-and-burn land clearing continue to push these species closer to extinction.

Rainforest Trust and our partner, Nitidae, are working to protect 275,325 acres of rainforest by creating the Beampingaratsy Protected Area. This 87-mile-long wildlife corridor will link two national parks and create a contiguous 1.2-million-acre refuge for threatened species.

Dog of the Day!

This was Spots he was abandoned for two months in my neighbors back yard with five gallon bucket of food and a kids swimming pool for water. When I finally put two and two together and heard him howling for days and realized they were moved I approached him cautiously and this was the look I got he was so lonely and needed a friend so I brought him home. That was three years ago. He never leaves my side. We are pals for life

At Furry Friends Sanctuary, we seek to rescue abandoned, abused stray dogs and cats. The 5.8 acre farm is home to 300 or more animals. Dogs, cats, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks and geese.

While we have made some great strides, Furry Friends Farm still has a lot to accomplish.

Furry friends like Julius are looking at shorter, harder lives without organizations like ours. We wish we could give each animal a home, but it’s always a challenge. We need funds for supplies like food, medicine, shelter to keep them safe and healthy in the meantime. That’s why we are asking for your help.

With a donation of $10, you can help our shelter to provide food for animals at our Sanctuary, help some puppies & kittens to get vaccinated, all beloved animals to stay warm for the winter.
