Tomorrow is one of their favorite enrichments! A dog friendly Thanksgiving meal 🦃🐾 Also - tomorrow is discount bath day!! So they can go home full and clean!! (Discount baths can be added to any thanksgiving stay. Bath will be done prior to pickup!)

Mr. Chris the Official Toy Tester & Fuzzy Eater stopped by for night check! 🧸✨
Can you believe he’ll be 2 years old in January?! 😭💙

For those who don’t know, Miss Jenny & Mr. Matt juggle a whole circus at home —
4 kids (ages 0–16), 3 dogs, 3 cats… and all of YOUR fur babies too! 🫠💛

So when you ask, “Do you hear all that loud barking?”
The answer is YES… but honestly? Loud is our normal 😂🐾

Life is wild, messy, noisy, and full of love — just how we like it!

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving Week, Koda’s Family! 🍁

We have a busy and exciting week ahead, so here are all the important updates in one place:

📌 Holiday Closure – Thursday, Nov 27th
We will be closed to the public on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
No pick-ups or drop-offs at all.
Staff will be onsite caring for pups, but the door will not be answered. Thank you for understanding!

🛁 Holiday Bath Day – Wednesday!
Our Discount Bath Day is this Wednesday before the holiday.
Spots are very limited, so grab yours before they’re gone!

🦃 Thanksgiving Feast – Wednesday
Let your dog enjoy a holiday meal made just for them!
Only $12, and totally optional for all boarders and daycare guests.
Be sure to sign up so we can include your pup in the feast!

🐾 Friday Staffing Update
We’ll be open Friday and have several departures scheduled.

Miss Devyn is away, so our wonderful new team member Miss Carrie will be handling the afternoon shift.

She fills in from time to time—please be patient as she’s still learning the ropes (and the computer!).

If needed, we may call for payments the following day.

Miss Amanda will be celebrating with Miss Jenny down the road but can be available if needed.

You’re going to love Carrie—the dogs already do (even if she forgets a name or two while she’s learning 😉). Thank you for being kind and patient!

If your pup is staying with us, don’t forget we offer special one-on-one add-ons for extra enrichment!
You’re celebrating this week—let them celebrate at Koda’s too!

📸 About Photos
We love taking photos of your dogs! But when things get busy, we prioritize attention and affection over cameras—the pups prefer belly rubs to phone lenses.

If you'd like a guaranteed photo, you can add our $3 daily photo package—every day, every other day, or just once!
This lets us set aside time specifically for photos (with treats for posing, of course!).

📘 Yearbook Update
Many have asked about Yearbook timing!

Miss Jenny will send off her rough draft next weekend and make any needed edits before ordering.

We’ll send out texts when it’s time to send or drop off payments.

We’re hoping to have them in your hands by mid-December—perfect for holiday sharing!

If you ordered a Yearbook, your pup’s portrait is definitely included. Most pups appear more than once, but not guaranteed—we jumped into this in May and hustled to make it special.
Next year’s will be even bigger and better!

The holidays can be tough. Maybe someone you wish was here isn’t anymore. Maybe there’s so much stress and planning that you forget to enjoy the season at all. Whatever you’re feeling, please know you’re not alone. Stop by Koda’s anytime. We are hear to listen. We are family.

Miss Jenny had the most amazing friend named Ryan, who is no longer with us. Every year on his birthday—November 22nd—his family honors him by asking others to pay it forward and spread kindness in unexpected ways.

This year, Miss Jenny would love for her clients to help celebrate Ryan by filling this post with photos of their pups. Because if there’s one thing we know, it’s that dogs have the purest hearts. They spread the same unconditional kindness that Ryan showed to the world.

We are so thankful for all of you—today and every day.
