A big Happy Birthday goes out to Sierra, Saber, and Akima! Trip and Enola's only litter. It's their 3rd Birthday already! We are so fortunate to have Saber with us on this occasion. He got Steak Tips for his Bday dinner and all the dogs will split his cake! Wish these guys a Happy Birthday!

I am still reeling from your loss just over 6 months ago. But I thank you for leaving behind so many wonderful legacies. I can't thank you enough for your firstborn son that has taken over as Alpha and has also inherited his dad's sense of emotional intelligence and persistence. I hope to continue to earn your respect until we catch up with each other on the other side. Love you Trip. You were one of a kind but left so much love in the world behind that none of us can thank you enough for. We miss you buddy, the only dog I have EVER known to be considered a king of his bloodline.

My apologies for the late night status update but here it goes.
Frontier Huskies has dropped Brittany Brown as a contributor and Co-founder. As a lot of you are on my personal page and some are not... Brittany walked out on her family of 6 years together. I won't delve into personal details but one part of this is really shameful on her part to any dog moms out there.....
On her hasted way out she abandoned her own dog, Khaleesi. I spent 18 hours driving, to buy her the dog she requested for a Valentines day gift. Khali is dual registered AKC/CKC purebred. I even sent her a message asking what she wanted to do with her dog that were ignored. Anyone who has the number 6154896732 please delete that contact. Message me for my new number. Brittany blatantly disregarded her own dog and that is not behavior becoming of a member of this family.
I have decided to retire and rehome Khaleesi so she can hopefully find a home with baby humans that she loves soooooo much. She has a fierce will to love, is E-Collar trained, and goes outside off leash. If anyone may be interested please message me if you would like to foster Khaleesi in her retirement.

You waited by the window EVERY day i went to work. You were the first one to see me pull up and tried to come through the window to say Hi to me. Copper and I can do the same for you on your last trip home.....

We are waiting for his remains to be brought home.

UPDATE: The vet said that Trip rallied yesterday, got up drank, and even ate a little bit. This morning though Trip lost his fight.....
Words can not come close to how devastated we feel right now.

The vet assured us that we did all the right things and even though he was healthy this was just one of those rare strains that can be agressive. He was such a strong willed dog and didnt show any signs until it was too late. They told us that he had probably interacted with something on one of our hikes...

I have so many words on my mind its hard to be cohesive at the moment. I just lost my best friend. Thats especially true for someone who has a hard time connecting to people. In my ENTIRE adulthood I have never connected with another being more completely..... Two minds on the same frequency. He knew when to be there when I didnt even know I needed him.

This photo was taken a little over a week before he went into the hospital. This is how fast he was taken from us. It is a tough reminder that even though we may do all the right things, sometimes we still lose the fight. With that said, cherish every moment with them. They give us undying love until the end.
The last time i saw him at the hospital he still popped his head up for me and gave a wag of his tail.
He was a fighter.
He was a leader.
He was the only male dog I have ever known to be involved with all of his pups.
He led his pack and even helped show some strays the ropes when we took them in.
He was 75 lbs of goofiness especially when you were trying to make the bed.
He was the one on watch whenever his family went outside, whether it was his pups or his humans.
He was sooo satisfied with the simple things... a ball, a stick, or especially a bone.
Ive never shed so many tears in my life and I will NEVER meet another like you.

I will keep the light on for you so when we meet in another form or another life. You will know... I will always be counting down the days until i see you again my friend. My best friend.

UPDATE: Trip has made it through night number 2 of fighting off this infection, however his status has not changed. He is still in critical condition.

I need all of our followers and owners to please pray for our Alpha Trip. Trip became ill and so far the diagnosis is he has met with a rough strain of leptospirosis. He is currently on IV fluids and Antibiotics. His condition is critical at the moment.

TRAINING TIP: The down command. The MOST trusted position. We live on a decently busy Urban street. He has been here for 15 minutes so far. SAME position. This is the most vulnerable position for a dog to be in. This means he trusts you. Try not to use a stay command. Try to teach them to hold the last command you gave them until you tell them otherwise.

Hey all. We have been busy with Copper's paw injury as well as taking in a pup that was brought to us off the street. Copper had to go to the vet to get some antibiotics and a cone of shame but he is doing great now and his injury has healed. We are in the middle of trying to train Umbra, our little stray, while we have him.

Ok guys, Milo is currently staying with his original family and we are working on a plan to keep him home. We will be keeping an eye on him and have a backup place for him to go if need. Now.... I am asking for another round of help.
This pretty boy was brought to us off the street. He had no collar and no chip. He is an ABSOLUTLEY beautiful Shepsky boy with heterochromia. He is about 6-8 months old, not housebroken yet. He has a very happy disposition and is good with all 4 of our dogs as well as our cat, Pixel. I am posting in multiple locations to try to find a new FOREVER home for this boy. I have checked his BM's and there are no signs of worms or any other health issues that we have found so far.
We are currently in La Vergne, TN, but we would be willing to drive a little bit to meet up to provide this gorgeous boy with a nice new home. If anyone is interested please message me. He is FREE to a good home but I will ask the same questions and have the same process as if I am placing on of our pups in your home. Thanks!!!!

Hello all. We needed to dust off our page and post about a situation that developed that showed the true happiness I have in our owners and our network of friends. I ask all of our friends to come together in support of a family(owners) of ours that are going through what no one wishes for. While respecting privacy I ask that everyone send as much love and positivity as you can to Miss Alex Wankel and her family as they deal some very challenging circumstances.
Due to those circumstances, they had felt that Milo would not get the best life he could and they immediately contacted me. We tell all of our owners we are here for a lifetime. These dogs make an interconnected family to us. I am so proud that they came to us to help Milo get the best life possible. That is a responsible owner.
Within hours of letting us know, We have located a new home for Milo and the call to help couldn't have come from better owners. Milo will now happily be going to live with his brother Loki in Alabama. We thank Tammy and Tanner for volunteering to take in Milo and support the family in time of need. We also congratulate Tammy and Tanner for their upcoming wedding and wish them the best as well as Alex and her family.
Thank you to Alex, Paul, Avery, Tammy, and Tanner for keeping family together.

A big happy Mother's Day goes out to all Moms past, present, and future! We couldn't ask for a better FIRST mom that has given us so many beautiful pups! Our very own Khaleesi! While Khali may be the first we will not forget Miss Enola who crossed over too soon but left behind one of our most distinctive and distinguished litters. Happy Mother's Day Khali, Enola, and Brittany(mom to all our girls!)

Hey folks! Sorry for the quietness, we have been busy with a HUGE move. During that move Miss Khaleesi started hear heat cycle. We are trying to get her comfortable in the new setting and increasing her calorie/fat/protein intake to help her out. We will keep you guys updated if/when we have a tie up!

There are two big updates for us here at Frontier.
Number one. We are moving again! But not far. We will now be located in La Vergne, TN after this month. We are getting a nice big 4 bedroom home so we have more room for the dogs as well as visitors.
Number 2.. Brittany and I have talked about it before but we have decided that since we are getting more room and considering the timing we have added to our pack! But not in the way you think.... Everyone welcome Pixel our rescue kitten! He was found on the side of the road with his two siblings with no momma in sight. We wanted to give this baby a home so now all of our pups will be cat trained as well. :)

A little morning routine we have. Clean, food, PLAY!

We have teeth guys! Here is video of the first wet food feeding.

Dropping a couple of gems tonight for everyone. They are getting ACTIVE!

Heel command. The point of heel is to walk beside you. You see Trip testing the limits a bit but it is absolutely imperative to make sure they walk BESIDE you not out in front.

This is technically called the place command but then again the way I try to train is to not break a command once given. You see them tense up just after break because I am getting them used to individual releases from commands. I have to release each one individually. This helps to get the pup used to not hearing the trigger word and reacting. They have to be addressed individually.
