Hair of the Dog Resort I offer one on one pet sitting in our home for small
breed pups & neutered & spay pups. Hello and thank you for visiting my page. I send daily updates and pics.

I specialize in small breed pups. I do not crate or kennel in my home. My clients pets roam free and hang out with us just like they do in your home. They are offered unlimited potty breaks and outdoor play. We back up to Lee Victory Park in Smyrna and have easy access to the greenway for walks. I love what I do and take pride in helping my clients feel completely at ease while they are on vacatio

If you are looking for non conventional pet care service for your special fur baby, Hair of the Dog Resort is your place!

*Do not kennel or crate

*No outdoor runs or a building where they are locked in at night and left until the next morning

*No hidden fees for extra potty breaks, medications given or a upgrade for a loud, larger concrete floor

*Your pup stays in my home and sleeps where they find a comfy spot

*All day play, all day let outs to run and play. If they do not want to play.....that is quite normal as well. They will find a nice, comfy quiet spot in my home

*Nice quiet neighborhood with a fenced in back yard that backs up to Lee Victory Park. I have 3 cameras for extra safety

*Send texts daily and pictures throughout their stay

*Specialize in small breeds, fully vaccinated and spay/neutered. Must get along with other pups...no aggression.

*No p*e pads are used in my home. If they continually mark, (which is normal) I will place a doggie wrap or diaper on them.

*Meet and greet each new client and their pup, on my screen porch. I am not a facility & do not provide tours as this is my home. I want to stay well, as I have so many meet and greets each week. Pictures of my entire home are on my FB page, Hair of the Dog Resort. If I am providing let out services at your home, I come to your home to meet & greet your pup before

*Fees vary depending on drop off & pick up times. $42 per night/1 pup, $55/2 pups $60/3 pups, etc.

*Drop offs start at 7:00 a.m. and pick up ends at 9:00
p.m.

*You provide food & washed bedding and blankets

*I administer medications and injections (no extra fee)

*My husband and myself are the owners and only employees

* 1 nights, non refundable deposit, is required at each booking. This goes toward your pups stay.

We have had a quiet few days! I call those days reset days. Rest, enjoy and get a few things done here and there. Today sweet Maddie has come for a night and sweet Olive is here until Sunday. We have more coming tomorrow:). So.....these sweet faces!!!

Anyone who would like to light a candle at 7:00 p.m., in memory of our son, Neil, please do so🙏🏻. This is for all children who were taken too soon.

For hundreds of years, lighting a candle has been a way to show respect for those that have died. This beautiful gesture shows that although someone may be gone from this world, their memory will endure, and the light of their flame will continue to inspire and guide others.

Worldwide Candle Lighting Day is a celebration of solidarity and memory. It’s a day on which people around the world gather to light candles for children who have died and to show that they will always be loved and never forgotten.
The candles are lit at the same time in every time zone, meaning that a consistent warm glow passes around the planet for a full 24-hour day.

As the name of the day indicates, everyone on this day comes together to light a candle. This is a symbol of life lost. Everyone lights their candles at 7.00 pm in their local time zone. This results in a beautiful wave of light, traveling around the globe from time zone to time zone. It is believed that this is the biggest mass candle lighting in the world. It had humble beginnings, starting as a very small observance, but now there are hundreds and hundreds of formal lighting events that take place, as well as thousands of informal ones.

Hair of the Dog Resort🐾 2017! Wow.

I have a little FYI about How did I start my business? How do I run my business? Well, it started when a young man posted on FB "could anybody watch my dog" for the weekend. I thought, my goodness, I would not allow "anyone" to watch my pup. There must be a need. That is the story and I have had the best job in the world since I made that decision to start Hair of the Dog Resort. Is it an easy job? No. I have pups usually 350 days a year. How awesome is that! I work all Holidays and weekends. Works great for me. I put in about 14 hours a day, because sometimes, I may have a sick pup or a scared pup. So I get up. I also go to several other homes during the week for let out services at my client's home. House cleaning is daily, I mean daily....but it sparkles! I pride myself on scheduling my clients which is a full time job alone😂, accommodating, trusting and being dependable. I meet & greet up to 3 people each week. My pups have to get along with all pups. I strive on making sure they do. I introduce my pups, outside, (so no territorial issues) one by one, until the new pup has met all the others. I always have time for your pup when they stay with me. They are my first priority. If you feel you are not getting 💯 top notch care from me or any pet sitter, please look around. Don't be complacent because you might "hurt their feelings". Your pup is worthy of top notch care when you take them for pet services.. I have already heard "we just don't have the time during the holidays". Then you need to down size or adjust your schedule accordingly. So, that is a semi short bio of my pet service. Without you, I could not have grown this much. I appreciate you all.

I cooked today, the whole meal for Jim & I:) Our first year "alone" since we lost our sweet boy, Neil, forever 23, 5 years 7 months ago. We are in a "good place" this season. Our girl is in Japan but coming home for 🌲🧑‍🎄🤶🙌🏻. It takes a good bit to swiffer, mop and Clorox before I can start cooking in the kitchen, living with pups. They watched from a gate away:).

Wowzers! I have the pups this week! My husband has been 💯 the best of help! We will have a record of 17 puppers on Thanksgiving Day 🦃 This means I have to do a little more swiffer, mop and double cleaning my counters, more than normal. It is just Jimmy & I this year. I cook the whole feast because I love cooking and eating! My house is the perfect set up for all my babies. None of the pups crate this week and there is definitely no kennels. They sleep where they land. We are truly blessed.

Radish, Luna & Willow, Maddie, Pixie, Fern & Finley, Max, Willie Mae & Bessie, Sims & Lexi. We are providing cat services at Ms. Lilly's home as well.

Rehoming, dumping and neglect is a pandemic in RC & surrounding counties! Please, please stop and think before you buy the cute puppy. Write a list of what this pup will cost you the first 5 years. It all adds up fast. Foster a pup if you have pup fever. Please stop letting your family fur babies down by dumping or rehoming. A puppy is a life time commitment. Neuter/spay your pets.

I provided let out services in two clients home this weekend. Pups really benefit from this service. A pup would rather stay in their own home. They feel safe and their routine does not change. It is very beneficial for senior pups and pups who do not do well with others. Jackson, Reggie & Ford & Zoey & Angel.

In my home I have Levi, Suly, Lady, Khloe & Oscar. This is Lady's first time away from Mom & Dad. She was timid and was like where the heck am I. Now she is playing and engaging with the other pups. It really does a pup good to be around other pups

Hair of the Dog Resort🥰. We having a pawdy! It is bedtime here. People ask, where do they sleep...wherever they feel comfortable. I have three right now, that crate at night. Whatever your pup does, fits with my routine. Every pup is different. Some pups sleep with their parents. I have had one (1) that wore us down. 17 year old at that🤣🤣. She slept in our bed. I'll admit that;). Most my pups really do prefer to be with their friends. They just bond here. Just like children. They pick who they want to sleep near, at the end of the day. They play so hard. Come bedtime, they are ready to be tucked in.
