New Year’s Resolutions:
PLEASE TAKE SOME TIME TO
READ:
Maddie was diagnosed with A.S. (Ankylosing Spondylitis) at the beginning of this year. While she is doing her best to keep up with standing clients, some dogs may have to be done by our new groomer depending on size, weight, difficulty, schedule availability, etc. While we understand that this may be hard for some of our clients, we have to do what is best for the longevity of our staff. While this business is her passion, she must do what is best for her health.
***JUST GROOMED will implement the following changes for 2023 to make the year go more smoothly***
1. Reminders will be sent two days before your appointment as usual. Just as with doctor’s offices, nail/hair salons, vet appointments, etc. you are responsible for making it to your appointment on time! Reminders ARE A COURTESY! Remember that we DO NOT HAVE CAGES. If you arrive ten minutes or more after your appointment, you put us behind with our next client and we have the right to reschedule your appointment. This also coincides with picking up your pet. Please do not leave your pet here for hours as we do not have the space to accommodate this and these babies want to go home WITH YOU!
2. Same day rescheduling and cancelling, or not showing up for your appointment is simply not fair to our staff. We have families to support as well. The grooming industry is not an hourly paid job. We do not get paid if you do not show up! HALF of your pet’s/pets’ base price will be added to your next visit as a result. The current $15 is an insufficient amount to cover your time slot, as we are unable to fill that appointment on such short notice. The increase helps to pay wages that would otherwise be lost.
3. We will no longer offer ear plucking as a service. 9 out of 10 dogs who have their ears plucked have an infection of some sort lurking underneath, which should be handled by your vet.
4. If your pet arrives with fleas, we will charge $25 minimum for treatment. We schedule your pup for a normal bath, dry, nails, ears, haircut and allot 10 extra minutes for drop off. If they arrive with fleas, they have to sit in the flea treatment for 15-20 minutes depending on infestation. We also have to fog our studio so that it does not become infested. Just as with a person going into a salon with lice, it is considered a special appointment and fees increase accordingly. So please make sure your pets are protected YEAR ROUND. WE DO NOT TREAT CATS WHO HAVE FLEAS and they will be sent home without being serviced. This will be considered a last minute cancellation and a fee will be added accordingly.
5. Brushing, combing, and keeping your pet free of knots is NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY. We are here to give your pet a spa experience. If you wouldn’t walk into a hair salon with matted hair, don’t let your pet come in with matted hair. If for any reason your pet comes in with a matted coat, we will try to de-mat them, but will never cause pain to your pet in the name of appearance. HUMANITY OVER VANITY. We will shave your pet if needed. Dematting fees are an additional $10 and increase depending on severity. Of course, we will discuss this with you at drop off. If you need help with grooming tools, how to brush, at home care, etc- we are happy to help.
6. We are closed SUNDAY-TUESDAY. We will not answer messages, phone calls, or emails during these days. Of course if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we will get back to you as soon as possible.
As always, we appreciate you and your beautiful fur babies and work really hard to make your experience great! Happy New Year everyone!
