Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers that worked their tails off today at our adoption event. We couldn’t have done it without you. Andrea, Kait, Mabel, Jen, Gabi, Christan, Merrill, Debbo, Debbie, Julia and numerous friends of volunteers.

And thank you to the vendors for feeding and accessorizing us. You guys rock - Oceanic Acai , Taste of Vietnam by Sammi, Donut Bus & S. Lillian & Links Permanent Jewelry. Everything was wonderful and I love my new anklet. 😻

This is Jessica. She’s about 5 years old. She arrived at our rescue a few months ago weighing in at over 30 pounds. She’s slowly losing weight and feeling much better. We can only do so much. That’s why we need you!

If you find a kitten, start here!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

This was posted on another page and may help those of you who find a kitten(s). 🐈‍⬛🐱Most shelters and rescues are full and get messages daily about kittens.

“Everyone is finding little kittens riddled with fleas. If kittens are under 2 pounds, we don’t do anything for fleas but a bath in Dawn. But please do so, especially if their gums are turning white. Otherwise, chemicals are too toxic for them if not at 2 lbs.

However if you find a kitten that is lethargic, please give it a tad of karo syrup immediately and then a few more times an hour to get its blood sugar back up and keep it on a heating source before you give it a bath. Because no matter how warm or lukewarm your water is that you are bathing it in, a bath will drop their body temperature just a tad and that might be all it takes to slip over the rainbow bridge.

Kittens with goopy eyes should be cleaned with warm water and given terramycin ointment in their eyes 3 times a day. You can find it at Tractor Supply.

We can all do our part to help. Because most likely when you find one it will take days to find someone to help you with it and what you do for it in those couple of days could mean life or death. And please DO NOT GIVE IT COWS MILK.

If it won't eat canned kitten food, you can give it chicken flavored baby food or kitten formula depending on age.

If you find a litter of kittens under 3-4 weeks of age, leave them alone! If they are quiet and healthy they have a mama. If they are sick and screaming, most likely they don’t. Know when to intervene and when not to.”

Madi, barely more than a kitten herself, gave birth to five kittens overnight. Her story highlights a crisis we're facing locally and nationwide: a surge in stray, feral, and surrendered cats.

Municipal shelters and rescues are overwhelmed, and pregnant cats like Madi are often facing euthanasia. We saved Madi just in time.

Please be responsible—spay and neuter your pets. If you encounter a stray or feral cat, look into local TNR programs or see what other resources are around for assistance.

Rescues need your help now more than ever. We urgently need donations and foster homes.

UPDATE: Baby #4 has arrived

While this may be a difficult and sensitive topic, pregnant cats at municipal shelters are not spared from euthanasia simply because they are expecting. That's why we strive to offer a safe haven for them and their unborn kittens.

Katniss has recently given birth to three of her four kittens, with one needing extra help. We are hopeful for the safe arrival of her last kitten.

Please support our mission to help cats like Katniss and her little family.

Katniss joined our organization thanks to a dedicated foster and a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. They ensured she found help before going into labor.

We are thankful that this momma now has a safe place. According to her x-ray, she has four babies on the way.

Let's wish Katniss a safe delivery, especially since she is just a baby herself.
