Despite her carrying on the first day of the show like a helium balloon letting all its air out, I could not have been more proud of my Solntse (Zooropa Laureate Beautiful Day) for her performance in the Turquoise Trail Borzoi Club's specialty ring on Sunday (11/5/23) in Bernalillo, NM.

Judge Robert Place awarded Solntse Reserve B*tch, but I believe these photos speak volumes about the results. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the experience and look forward to future opportunities to showcase Solntse's remarkable qualities.

Many thanks to my friend and Solntse's owner, Mary Ann Rose, who graciously brought me in from Washington and hosted me over the weekend. It was so much fun to spend time with her, husband Richard, and all of the Goodnight Trail kids.

I also want to give a big shout out to Joyce Law, Ann Quinn, Kim Ketelsen, and Richard Terry for all of their encouragement and help. It was sooooo appreciated.

Solntse is from my Monne x Brooke litter that I co-bred with Patricia Silverman and Monica Barry.

So happy to hear that Mary Elsa and Brigati made it safely to their summer home in Flagstaff, Arizona. Shortly after they arrived, they met a wonderful mother and daughter from the Netherlands. This is Natasha who fell in love with Briggs – knowing he was a borzoi after having done a book report on a borzoi book.

I am just tickled pink to announce to Darius’ fans, that at six months, nine days old at the Olympic Kennel Club Show today he not only beat the other two class dogs, but went Best of Breed over the male special. The judge was Dana Cline. Unfortunately, I had to get back to work after showing, so we did not stay for the group. He was pretty tuckered out anyway, and I could tell the boy was longing for his crate in which to take an afternoon nap. Darius is Laureate Zooropa Nonsuch Be the One, bred by Monica Barry, Beth Signor Sanders, and me. He is owned by Monica and me. And, as always, special thanks to Karen Dumke and Kalen Marie Dumke Voogt who paved the road for bringing this very special boy into our lives.

As Darius' #2 mommy, I am absolutely thrilled how every time I go visit the child he just keeps getting better and better. I made a quick trip yesterday to visit him and his #1 mommy, Monica Barry. We got a nice sidegait shot of him as well that I will post next. Darius (Laureate Zooropa Nonsuch Be the One) is the singleton boy from the breeding Monica, Beth Signor Sanders, and I did by MBISS Am/Can Ch Nonsuch Prince Charming, ROMX-C out of CH Laureate Zooropa Adrienne Songbird O Aspenglo.
