It is with great joy that we announce our upcoming litter from SG 32 (BSZS 2023) Rakete von der Freiheit Westerholt and V2 (BSZS 2023) Promo vom Osterberger Land

Promo will be competing at the 2024 BSZS Seiger show in a couple weeks. We wish Dirk and the Osterberger Land kennel great success at the show and competition.

This litter is a combination of two of the best kennels in Germany and a combination of some of the most renown world champions.

Meet Rakete von der Freiheit Westerholt, our newest addition. 🙌

Rakete is from our mentor's kennel and we are honored to add her to our home. She is IGP 1, kkla, HD/ED: Normal. Straight off the plane, she had her first training session, offering focused heel and engaging with enthusiasm.

Her protection work was a major selling point for me. Her work is solid, intense, and without hesitation. She is small but mighty. 💪

Then and Now: One of our favorite family vacations was to Cape Lookout on the Oregon coast. Bakira had just turned 1 year old and loved exploring the beach with the kids and sleeping in the RV. Now she's 6 years young and loving on her brand new litter.

What a thrilling week! Isaac's hip and elbow X-rays were done on Wednesday, submitted to the SV (German Kennel Club) for certification – and they look fantastic!

On Thursday, he joined the kids for a field trip, showcasing the breed admirably. Now, time for a well-deserved day of rest! 🐾

💕 Keeping puppy nails trimmed every few days promotes a healthy relationship between mom and pups.

🐶 It also gets pups comfortable with their nails being trimmed when they go to their furever homes.

✔️ Gaining weight with every feeding.
✔️ Socialization is actively occurring throughout each day.

It's quite magical to watch the numbers on the puppy scale go up after each feeding. The pups are motivated and focused on eating and sleeping.

Thea is a patient and loving mama who's taking excellent care of her babies. 💗

It's been a long time since we shared an update on EZ. EZ was returned to us last summer when his owners had some unfortunate life changes. EZ has been actively working on increasing his speed and engagement in his obedience work. Hannah has worked significantly with him on counter conditioning touches from his nose to tail. He's also doing well with neutral dog work around all dogs, including intact males. I am loving watching his comfort level increase. Never underestimate the power of teaching a dog to hold still and to stay in an obedience behavior until you communicate that they are free. Movement is easy, natural, and self rewarding. Holding still is work. ❄️ Luca learned all of this prior to our nasty freezing weather, which made staying inside so much relaxing for everyone! Most dogs abhor the vacuum. Good, sounds genetics and intentional shaping with puppies makes it a lot easier. Chakira's used to the vacuum. This is the first time Emma's been free in the house while the kids were working away. 💪 I was curious to see how she would respond! 📣 Any dog's perspective of the vacuum can be changed with intentional work. ✔️ Noise Counter Conditioning, starting at a low level. ✔️ Create a bed (place) behavior through positive reinforcement ✔️ When your dog is ready, slowly start to put the two together. This may mean that one person vacuums at the other end of the house while you feed your dog for relaxing on its bed. ➡️ Distance is your friend! ‼️Food is crucial. Need help? Play time is always hilarious at our house! 🏠 ➡️ Healthy communication is as important for our dogs as it is for each of us. 💯 Correct play cues are crucial to dogs playing well together. 📚 Dogs learn play signals and communicate cues from their littermates, their mom, and stable, trustworthy, mature dogs. 🐾 These cues are crucial to develop and intentionally shape as puppies. Is your pup bulletproof?!?! 💕 Our puppies are loving the ride lead by our 'junior dog trainers' 🎉 Would you like to build your pup's confidence in new environments, with loud, startling noises and on different surfaces? This is how we do it! 👉 Start young! 🥩 Use food 💡 Remember, the last thing your dog hears, sees or feels before the food enters their mouth is what will be conditioned. This is not about you or what you say! And this isn't just our recycling! It's our noisy pool and we feed our pups in it so they get used to loud, banging, crashing noises while they eat. ➡️ In the beginning, feed your pup distance away from the noise while someone else rattles the cans and bottles. 🚫 never make or force your puppy to go in the noisy pool or be so close they can't eat. We are not looking to stress or overwhelm our pups. 💪 We are looking to build confidence and counter condition the banging and crashing! 📫 Need help? Shoot us a DM.

Meet Ice. 🧊 A happy, motivated, engaged, intelligent and driven pup. ➡️ We particularly love his drive and intensity in the "fight". He does not give up. He stays in the fight even when it gets frustrating or challenging. Please note, we're evaluating this as we're playing tug a war utilizing a leather rag or a flirt pole as we cultivate his play drives. ✅ He has a tremendous structure, with good movement, rich pigment, excellent problem solving skills and an all around engaging, outgoing, curious disposition. ➡️ He is constantly nose to the ground, following scents; tracking other dogs, moles and wild life. It's a kick to watch him find a scent trail and naturally work it. 🐾

How do you motivate your puppy? . Toys? Food? Love? . Green collar is definitely toy motivated. . Each pup in the litter is having individual time in the house away from the litter. This helps them to be more comfortable without their litter mates when they go to their furever homes.
