Howdy Everybody!!!
Welcome back for another fun filled school year!! I'm sorry this is last minute but things have been rocking and rolling around the sanctuary and well. . . . Life. What can I say.
ANYWAY!!!! We have our first off-site volunteer opportunity coming up TOMORROW (Tuesday September 13) from 3 to 4:30. At Jones Elementary School. At 1400 Pecan St, Bryan, TX 77803. As always just need to have a desire to share reptile warm fuzzies :) with little kiddos (and some teachers). If you don't have a lot of (or any) experience, we can fix that : ) If you don't know what to say, that easy. We can give you a few facts on what ever creature you are comfortable with and go from there. Seriously, there is a LOT of repetition.
You'll need a study break anyway, so come to Jones Elementary School tomorrow. I am planning on being there about 2:15/2:30 to set up. Message me if you are interested in coming so I can have a head count for the school.

For some of y'all that we know because you were volunteers and may have spent time at an Austin H**p Society meeting or Expo . . .
I have news (sadly) to pass on:

All: This is Tim Cole's brother Bill.

It is with great sadness to let you know that Tim passed away last night. He was surrounded by family and friends, including one of his favorite four-legged friends Ava. He faded very quickly and passed away around 10:30 last night.

We know how he impacted our lives, but we will never know the impact he had on the thousands of lives of the people he trained and educated. He made the world a better place for us and for the animals he loved and advocated for.

There are no immediate plans for a celebration of Tim's life, but there will be one in the coming months. We will get the word out when the date is set so that as many of you as possible can join together to honor and celebrate a truly one of a kind man.

Tomorrow (Wednesday April 13) we have an off site volunteer opportunity. We will be at Fannin Elementary School STEM Night. It runs from 5 til 7. Frank should be there about 4:30. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. The address is 1200 Baker Ave, Bryan, TX 77803.

So we have a situation here. Frank has been injured and will be needing help with his Farm Patch runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. He's usually there by 9 am. If anyone is willing to give him a hand while he is recovering please text him at 979-324-1742. Hopefully he'll be back by Wednesday. Thank you in advance.
