Desert Oasis Chesapeakes/Kennels My husband and I got into breeding Chesapeakes just after we were married in March of 2013. We breed Okay! I have to be honest here, I never wanted a Chessie!

I know it's hard to believe, but I had heard enough RUMORS about them as well as personal experience to try and talk Nathan out of getting a Chessie! (For those of you who didn't know Max originally belonged to my brother in law Nathan.) I had my dad's experience with his Chessie lashing out at my pregnant mother, and a Chessie I had met at my work, who I was informed would often snap at his owner

for seemingly no reason. And living with a dozen nieces and nephews I didn't see how a Chessie would fit into the family. Though I did stop persisting and actually found a breeder just to have a puppy around. BOY was I ever wrong! A Chesapeake raised with the right surroundings is an AMAZING family dog. Max really has a one of a kind attitude and Kyra does as well. But be aware these are NOT first time dog owner dogs! Nor are they a great dog to be left alone at a farm! THEY NEED TO BE SOCIALIZED!! I now have two Chessies! I love this breed and I want to share them with EVERYONE!! Look for our first litter in 2016! All of our dogs will be health tested.

Well, as many know, life happens. We had a full list of awaiting people, but some have had to put the plans of a new puppy on hold. We appreciate and encourage that, we would rather you were wholly ready for a puppy than take one when you are unprepared! That said, we bred for the list, so we are expecting babies!

So we have some open spaces.

Makai is a sweet boy that loves to please. He did extremely well at his first show as a BP, he went from class to the best in show ring. He did excellent and was calm and collected, even had people stepping over him while he slept and waited his turn! He loves people.

Bonnie loves everyone and loves to cuddle. She has excellent coat and drive. She is pending her full panel test. But should be clear of CDDY by parentage.

Did you know we still have Mr Logan!! He is an amazing dog and loves this new white stuff. He has his rabies vaccine now. I can't report if he is fully vaccinated as I didn't want to overdo it if he had some already.
Vet said over 6months, so older than I thought.
He isn't a quick eater, he will eat as he wants to.
Warns when he needs to go outside and crate trained. He does well with kids, cats, large stock, and other dogs.

Apply to take him home today. Approved homes only. He is now a part of my pack and will be treated as one of our puppies being homes. :)

River is owned by the CBR Rescue. He is here with us awaiting the perfect family. We are working on his high drive. By changing his thought process. He has to hit my hand with his paw to reveal the treat.
