It is very unfortunate to have to share this news. Frank Hartman was an amazing and caring man. Because of Frank,we had the opportunity to have our clinics at the Somerdale VFW for a few years. Because of him, hundreds of cats and dogs were spayed and neutered as well as being able to provide clinic services for many. Rest in Peace Frank. The animals you once helped will greet you in heaven one day❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

This story hits very close to home.

This is my biggest fear for my own cats. 💔 Please read…

These three senior cats, along with four others, are spending their Valentine’s Day confused, scared to death and missing their caretaker.

Their caretaker, Tony, who helped us to recover Trooper a few years back, died suddenly last week.

Their story started many years ago at a horse farm near my house. The owners had barn cats that they refused to fix, despite their neighbor Betty trying to explain why they should.

By the time the owners died, there were some 30 cats who were about to lose their home.

Betty took it upon herself to trap and fix every one of them. And then she gave them an indoor home.

A few years later, Betty died, and that’s when her ex-husband, Tony stepped in. They have been under Tony’s care for the past 8 of the 10-plus years that they have been indoors.

By the time Tony took over, there were 19 cats. He made many sacrifices over the years to honor Betty’s wish to keep these kitties in their home, even if most of them were feral.

Now there are 7 cats left. The day after Tony passed, the family was already in there gutting the house, removing all of the cats’ hiding spots, and scaring them to death. Now all they have left is some blankets on the floor and a timestamp.

If they don’t get out quickly so the family can “fumigate the house”, they will be taken to the shelter, where their future will be uncertain, at best.

All but one cat, Bootsie, are not socialized to humans. Bootsie is semi-feral and is adoptable by someone who is patient and has experience with shy cats.

They are bonded…so much so that since they have nowhere to hide, they just huddle together, terrified, when the family or my friend, their neighbor, goes in to feed them. We need to try to adopt out in pairs or threes, if possible, so they have someone familiar to cling to, since they only have each other left.

I was asked to find colonies for them to be relocated to. However, they’ve been indoors for most of their lives. And they’re all over age 10. I don’t think they have what it takes to survive, especially since they don’t have winter coats right now…not the best situation for them.

They are all fixed but likely need updated vaccinations. Betty didn’t eartip them because her intention was to keep them indoors once she fixed them.

They are located in Atco, NJ ( Camden County).

I want to appeal to anyone who has space to please adopt. I know they aren’t lap cats and you likely won’t be able to pet them and cuddle them. But there is a bonus to having unsocialized cats…they don’t hijack your time every waking hour, you can get up to p*e whenever you want, and they dont trip you all day, every day!

Even a barn home would be better than the fate they are facing.

Please, if you can help, contact Carol at 856-767-8122. Let her know you saw Robyn’s FB post.

If you’re local to South Jersey area, please SHARE. And if you’re not, please PRAY.

Hug your kitties a little closer this Valentine’s Day. ♥️
