Happy 15th Birthday to one of my favorite little buddies, Bennie! 🎉 Here he is with his human mama, Carin. This sweet, amazing kitty was diagnosed with bladder cancer many, many months ago and is still spunky & going strong. Bennie has a great appetite, plays, and loves to cuddle with his buddy Choco & his human family.❤️

Visited a friend in Brigantine on Tuesday. No crowds and lots of happy dogs on the beach.❤️🌊🐶

Another deer, this time a young buck, going into the wooded area near the beach.

My husband was looking for hermit crabs near the wooded picnic area when he saw deer instead & took videos. Deer are not native to St. John and were brought there by the colonists in the late 1700's.

A small hermit crab running away from my daughter & me. The large hermit crabs weren't scared, but the small ones would scurry off or lie completely still in their shell in the sand, hoping that you ignore them.

Now here's a real "hermit" hermit crab, going into hiding.
