UPDATE: THe place we were looking at is on hold right now , due the partial owners had other plans , which one of the owners didn’t know . Does not mean it’s a no but I can’t sit around and wait

Okay so since the town wasted my time ,
I have no idea why I went to the meeting and sent out 50 abutters letters which no one showed up . Just to tell me nope can’t do it .
My next step is to find a small place commercial place .
Thanks to my husband, family , and clients telling me not to give up .

Why don’t the person who reported me to state come foward ? Are you some sort of coward ? Not one single person in my neighborhood had an issue ? But the town wouldn’t even listen to me because of bylaws , however the town knew about this all along . I was doing nothing wrong at all , no complaints! I Would respect you more if you came forward and told me why ???

Since 2015, I’ve been doing what I love , not one single person showed up to contest this , but the town denied me , just saying no I cannot do this in a residential zone .
I am devastated. All because of the bylaws .😢😢😢😢

Good afternoon ,
4 more days until the meeting to appeal the zoning board . If everything works out in my favor , I will be going full bore .
I spoke to a few people that received the abutter’s letter , you do not have to go to the meeting , the only way you have to go is if you contest it.

Oh and if the the person who reported me could show up that would be great , would love to meet you 🙂 !

UPDATE:
I just got the abutters letters to send out to appeal the building inspector’s decision.
If anyone contests they will go to the meeting to be heard.
As I said before , this was not the town that did this it was someone off of Facebook that reported it. Please keep me, my business and all the pups in your thoughts . WE got this !!!!
I miss my clients and all the dogs, let’s hope for the best . 🤞🏻

Good evening I am temporarily closed for the time being , please keeep me my business in your thoughts , and let’s all hope for the best .
I will miss my fur babies so much for the next couple of months and hope for the best . I still won’t understand why I wasn’t left alone. I hope who ever reported me and a small business is happy that you not only hurt me but you hurt multiple canines .These dogs had so much fun and did no harm to anyone and they were all so happy . I will never understand why someone has to fix something that was never broken .
It’s okay I will do what it takes to get my babies and clients back . 🙏🏼

Good morning guys , I have some very bad and sad news . I had a visit this morning from the town of Somerset who informed me that I am operating without a kennel license, and need to shut down immediately. As far as this information, I never knew I needed a kennel license to do doggie daycare . I have been doing this for quite some time and I have never had any complaints whatsoever, all my clients absolutely love it here , and this morning I was ripped away from my lively hood . I believe this information as come from a larger daycare facility , and I was reported . I never felt I did anything wrong , I am completely insured under my name and have never even had my neighbors complain. In all honesty , I have never thought I needed an kennel license to run a dog daycare .
That being said , I refuse to go down without a fight , if anyone has any knowledge or advice please let me know. In the meantime , I will be contacting the building inspector to go for this license , and most likely be requesting a town hearing and hope you all will back me on this.
I also know my neighbors , friends , and clients will help me through this and hope for the best .
Please know I am hoping to get this license and be able to continue my passion . Thanks for your support.
